Culloden House Hotel

From start to finish, our experience at Culloden was exemplary. The hotel itself is homely and welcoming with plenty of comfortable spaces to sit, chat, read or drink. This is a hotel that offers good food, high quality accommodation and top notch service in a beautiful setting. We were in Room 12 (a suite), it has a prime location at the front of the house and overlooks the extensive lawns grounds. It is spacious (actually it is huge!) and has a comfortable bed and seating areas. There are all the amenities expected of a luxury hotel: hairdryer, iron, water, biscuits, coffee maker and tea-making facilities. The house is situated in extensive grounds which I imagine are beautiful at any time of the year. It is easily accessible and we were able to use it as a base for sightseeing in and around Inverness. Food was of an excellent standard; every meal we had was tasty, well presented and served in a professional manner. It is the latter which sets Culloden House apart from some other hotels. Its service levels are consistently high and staff are customer-focused. Nothing is too much trouble. We had a whisky tasting session which was an informative and entertaining experience, well worth the amount it cost. It is without hesitation that I recommend the hotel if you are in this area of Scotland.

We always enjoy visiting this hotel. A stunning place. The staff are so welcoming. The refurbished rooms are to a high standard. The food excellent. I cannot fault it. Look forward to our next visit.

Just had a 2 night stay at the fabulous Culloden House Hotel. Recently refurbished to a high standard. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast.

Had a short break with some friends and were allocated the Garden Mansion for the accommodation which was perfect for our group. The refurb that they completed earlier this year has been done superbly well - great space, incredibly comfortable beds and a big bathroom with fabulous shower and huge bath. What makes this hotel stand out from the rest is the staff - incredibly friendly, helpful with local advice and all with excellent customer service. Didnt have dinner but the breakfast was a highlight for us all. Well done to the management and team - we are already planning our next visit!!

Our room was fantastic...exceptional staff. Excellent chef and very accommodating waitstaff. Food was excellent but be aware it is fine dining so expect to pay a bit more. However I promise you won't be disappointed. Hotel is old mansion that traces history back to the 16th century. It is in the country with a 15 min drive to center of Inverness. There is a small herd of highland cattle in back... I unreservedly recommend Culloden House Hotel. They do make you feel like your at home...

Wonderful place! People were so friendly and helpful and the location is amazing. It felt like straight out of the period drama movie!
