Exceptional location with rooms directly facing Meili Snow Mountain! We booked for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and hopefully catch the morning sunrise (日照金山) and the weather did not disappoint!!
We booked a room with a very big balcony so we could spend our morning setting up cameras from our room as opposed to go outside or up to the rooftop, though we didn’t realise it was a two- bedroom. Nonetheless the spaciousness was fantastic, very clean, tidy, with complete amenities and a very cosy TV area where we enjoyed an evening movie.
Breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea was great too, with very helpful and friendly staff.
A very memorable stay for us!
Lastly, they even provided multiple tripods, such a sweet touch!

The best hotel I stayed in in China. Pricey, but an extremely memorable experience.
1) Got a free upgrade from a room without a view of the mountain to one with a view. It was incredible and perhaps the best view from a hotel I've seen in my life, complete with a floating bathtub, smart curtains, all the frills.
2) Food is amazing- got dinner ordered in (as your options are limited), abit pricey but very delicious and so too was breakfast.
3) Location is incredible as it is right in front of a viewpoint of the mountain. The hotel also has a beautiful rooftop complete with piano and deck. It even has free tripods for use, on the deck and in the room, which was perfect for me a solo traveler.
To share- I took the usual (public?) bus from Shangri-la which was a incredibly scenic four hour ride. This bus isn't the most comfortable. It's cramped and very difficult to communicate if you don't speak Chinese, but I got by with WeChat. This hotel will tell you to get the bus driver to drop you at Wu Nong Ding which is slightly before Fei Lai Si- from there the hotel picks you up and you arrive in the hotel within maybe 5 minutes. The hotel also helped me arrange for a ticket on the bus back to Shangri-la.

A Truly Unforgettable Stay – Highly Recommended!
This is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in China. The room was incredibly spacious, and the hospitality from the reception team was outstanding. Every member of the staff was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.
One of the highlights is the Wunongding Observation Deck, located right in front of the hotel — offering breathtaking views just steps from our door.
The hotel also provides complimentary afternoon tea via room service, beautifully presented and served by a polite and gracious young lady, 达瓦取宗. It was a lovely touch that made us feel very pampered.
In the evening, we enjoyed red wine and biscuits at the rooftop bar, where we had a delightful experience hosted by Mr. 唐浩东. The atmosphere, views, and service combined to create a memorable night.
During check-out, my brother was feeling unwell due to the high altitude. A kind staff member named 挣白 prepared a special tea for us to help ease the symptoms. His thoughtfulness and care truly touched us and made a noticeable difference.
Every staff member we encountered was genuinely helpful and warm. We felt cared for every moment of our stay.
If we ever have the chance, we would absolutely love to return. Highly recommended!

Deqin Meili GY Banshan Homestay truly lives up to its name - your HOME-STAY away from home. All the staff are like your long lost friends, who earnestly take care of this cozy establishment like their own home.
During our stay all our needs have been promptly met and then some. Expectations exceeded and mind blown. A uniquely memorable experience leaving you feeling warm and fuzzy. Wholeheartedly recommend!!

We stay 2nights at GY it was a very enjoyable stay. Arrived in the evening n was pleasantly surprised by the mesmerising view of Meilishan.
Our stay includes a sumptuous breakfast in the morning an afternoon coffee and cakes as well as free drinks and snacks served at night between 8-10pm. Staffs were really very friendly n prompt in their services. Always getting out of their way to make us feel welcome n happy. Really enjoyed our stay here.

We arrived late at night and luckily the hotel still has dinner service we can order. Although its a pity we couldn't see Meili snow mountain during our stay due to bad weather, the hotel facilities itself is great, we had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed the breakfast too. Just hope that the price can be kept more competitive as its on the steeper side.

Perfect location and friendly staffs. Perfect Meili Mountain View right from your room. If you don’t want to leave your room, you don’t have to the entire time you are there. Dinner is also very good. Good taste and presentation. Actually the best in the entire Shangri-La area.
