Without doubt, this was the best holiday we have ever experienced. From breathtaking views and crystal-clear waters—perfect for snorkelling, kayaking, surfing, and diving—to rejuvenating spa treatments and exceptional dining, every moment was unforgettable. An evening of mixology and a stunning sunset at Yellow Fin was a true highlight. The warmth and professionalism of the staff made our stay extraordinary. Our host, Maazin, was phenomenal—anticipating every need with care and kindness. The thoughtful accommodations for my disability requirements went far beyond expectations, which meant so much. Heartfelt thanks to all who contributed: Flora and Leo from TropicSurf, Adam from the Dive Centre, Ihussan for attentive room service (apologies for the sand!), the buggy team, the talented wellness spa therapists, the wonderful chefs and food & beverage staff, and the management team whose leadership shines through. You created a holiday beyond imagination, and we are deeply grateful.

We just got back from 7 magical days at the Anantara Dighu with our family of 4 (kids 11 & 6) in an Overwater Villa. This was - by far - the most beautiful tropical vacation destination we’ve ever been. I’ll just hit on some of the top things I was looking for in my research which will hopefully help you: - Kids Club :: Special shout outs to Mando, Mohammed, & Thess. Our kids (11 & 6) looked forward to spending time in the kids club every single day. Two nights we dropped off at 7 pm and picked up at 9 to have an adult only dinner (highly recommend this strategy ;)). They have daily itinerary, outdoor bball hoop, badminton, video games, and pool table. They also take the kids to the pool & beach some days for planned activities. No crying or complaints of having to go to kids club = happy parents . They also gave little farewell gifts to the kids and they got to keep tshirts they tie dyed… little extras but still nice! - Food :: All the restaurants were fab and there’s lots of variety. Indian, Thai, Japanese…. Our favorite was the grilled seafood platter at Sea Fire Salt - really delicious. We also did a sunset cruise and caught loads of fish that they then cooked up for us the following night - highly recommend! Breakfast is 10/10…. Made to order Eggs, Pancakes, Crepes, and Smoothie bowls. Loads of other buffet options and juices. Also personalized coffee orders brought to the table - love that. We didn’t opt for the All Inclusive package, and in doing the math I think we spent just a little less on food going a la carte. Maybe it would have caused us less sticker shock if we just did AI ($42 for a pizza? $25 for a glass of prosecco? Nearly fainted)… but you sort of just suck it up and know you’re spending a lot on this vacation so just try not to stress too much about it. Just do the math and see if it’s worth it for you. I think AI for us would have been +$800 per day. - Activities :: We used the free kayaks and snorkel gear. Loved walking across the sand bar to snorkel island and also snorkeling at the beach in front of the pool. My son also got certified for scuba diving with Aquafanatics (Padi) while we were there - can’t say enough great things about all the folks in the dive shop, especially Adam and Betty. They were patient and kind and we felt very comfortable with him in their capable hands for the certification. We also did jet skiing and stand up paddle boarding while there. Our kids also enjoyed just riding bikes all over the island (it’s small and impossible to get lost). I think the free bikes are a nice touch :). We also did a couples massage a the spa (Anantara signature massage) and it was so lovely. One small complaint is being able to hear the loud music from the beach party they were hosting, but we knew in advance that was happening. - Over Water Villa :: we chose the sunrise side for the overwater villa (to us wasn’t worth the price for the sunset side although I’m sure it would be gorgeou

Many thanks to our butler Simah for taking such good care of us. Whenever we had any need, Simah would help us resolve it immediately, making our journey even more enjoyable! The clear sea allowed us to see baby sharks directly, the beautiful sunsets, and while snorkeling we even saw an octopus. There were great photo spots everywhere. The best part was that the restaurants completely satisfied me. The Thai restaurant is the most recommended – both the service and the flavors were fully on point. The teppanyaki at the Japanese restaurant was also excellent, and the sashimi and sushi were quite acceptable. For Sea and Fire, it's better to go a bit earlier, finishing watching the sunset and then having dinner right after! Overall, it offered very good value for money. Highly recommended!
