Sunrise Palace Merzouga

Was amazing. Everything went well. Youseff the waiter was especially super friendly and very helpful. He was always making sure we had all our needs met and asking what to do tonmake trip better.

We stayed for two nights at Sunrise Palace Merzouga and had a wonderful experience. The hotel feels luxurious and beautifully designed, with spacious, comfortable rooms and a lovely swimming pool that’s perfect for relaxing after exploring the desert. The team were friendly and attentive, and there was a good selection of activities available - ideal for making the most of the stunning surroundings. Although our stay was short, it was memorable, and we left feeling very relaxed. We’d happily recommend Sunrise Palace Merzouga to anyone looking for a high-quality, peaceful stay in the area.

Wow, what a beautiful hotel, and even more importantly, what an amazing team! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly that we instantly felt at home. A big shoutout to my friend Moha, who made sure our stay was nothing short of perfect. He was so kind, informative, and full of great recommendations. Thanks to him, we had some of the best experiences— a sunset camel ride, a sunrise buggy ride, and the ultimate thrill: quad biking and sandboarding at sunset. Every activity was fun and exciting, but riding the quad bikes and sandboarding as the sun set over the dunes was hands down the best! Now, the food—wow! I had never tried Moroccan food before, and it was beyond amazing. They treated us to delicious tajines, and we were fed so generously. Their chicken tajine was the best I’ve ever had! For our wedding anniversary, they went the extra mile and arranged a romantic dinner for us, followed by a beautiful drum performance and singing. Thank you, Moha, Hassan, and our talented chef (I regret not asking his name!) for making our anniversary so incredibly special. And of course, I can’t forget the swimming pool! It was beautiful, and I enjoyed every second of it. Moha even helped me capture a great video of me diving in—turns out, he’s a great videographer too! I came as a guest to this hotel but left as part of their family. The kindness and warmth we received here will stay in my heart forever. Where do I even begin? This place has made quite an impression on me for many different reasons: the location, decor, food, facilities, amenities, and most of all the top-notch service we received from the staff. Not only did we receive exceptional service but was made to feel like family and that’s very special. We also got to meet the owner Youssef, heard his personal journey to making his dream a realization, and you can feel his passion for building Sunrise Palace, and his passion radiates through the property and the dedication of his staff. Sunrise Palace is is situated at the edge of the desert (literally their backyard) with a minimalist Moroccan desert chic decor, sprinkled with cozy indoor and outdoor lounge and dining spaces, a lovely outdoor pool, and a wonderful scent, all-in-all, this place gives off a charming idyllic vibe, and now is one of my favorite places I’ve visited. The room we got was very spacious and had a pool and desert view, so lovely! Loved the water pressure in the shower too. We enjoyed all the meals we had at Sunrise Palace, breakfast, lunch, and dinners and they made my favorite bread, Msemen, so well…yum (compliments to the chef!). Moha and his staff did a great job of anticipating our plans and needs too, so everything was easy and seamless for us. Moha arranged a memorable sunset camel ride for us, set out towels and sun hats when we mentioned that we may just spend the day relaxing by the pool, and played drums and sang around a bonfire - this was such a a treat! Hoping I can go back to this magical place again and definitely highly recommend Sunrise Palace to anyone staying in the Merzouga area.

This hotel is easily one of my favourites ever. Lovely interiors, tasteful decor, amazing hospitality, perfect location! It’s right at the edge of the Erg Chebbi desert. Youssef is a lovely host. We had a great stay here and will definitely come back. 10/10 recommended for anyone wanting to visit erg Chebbi, merzouga. Amazing value for money

The hotel ground is very beautiful! The room is spacious, clean with beautiful interior! The staff is very helpful. The owner even came to greet us and spent some time with us. Highly recommended for family. We had dinner at the hotel as well, it was delicious.
