Moonfleet Manor - A Luxury Family Hotel

Spacious and Comfortable Rooms: Rooms are described as spacious and well-equipped, with luxurious amenities like large beds, rain showers, and stunning views of the Fleet. Some rooms offer interconnecting options for larger families, making them ideal for family stays.

Another fantastic family holiday to Moonfleet Manor. This was our 12th time to the hotel and we were in the rooms nearest the pool area which was a new experience for us. Our room was so spacious which is perfect for our family. The amenities, staff and food are all stunning. We are already looking at dates for May half-term next year.

Good bits: - Great location to explore the area, Dorset coast and quaint little villages - You can feel staff is doing everything they can do help and accommodate the guests, as my wife said “this hotel has a heart” - extremely child-friendly as you would expexct from a family hotel, dining, lunches, play areas, swimming pool area all well considered - Dining was overall good, we had minor issues with some of the dishes but overall good value, portion size and most importantly variety and taste Challenges: - The whole hotel is very dated. Our room was comfortable but some of the paint on the walls was chipped, bathroom very grubby, overall questionable on the cleanliness, loads of cobwebs, dead bugs here and there. - Play area again very dated, the minute you enter the areq you get an odd smell, a lot of the toys not well looked after, grubby and dated. - Pool area totally appropriate but for a hotel that has the luxury in their name (and the price tag) it’s underwhelming to say the least, you can get better ameneties probably from mid-range, busget offerings. - they were understaffed at times, many times not possible to find anyone in the restaurant when you show up to breakfast to get seated, order hot breakfast options. Multiple times staff got the orders incomplete or wrong. Overall, we had pleasant time at the hotel but definitely not coming back to this hotel or any other LFHs, not the right value for money overall compared to other real luxury options.
