San Firenze Suites & Spa

We stayed at San Firenze Suites & Spa in May 2025 and booked both an executive suite and a luxury suite. Both rooms were well-appointed and comfortable, though in hindsight, the extra space in the executive suite wasn’t necessary for our needs. The luxury suite had a better city view and a noticeably more updated shower, making it our preferred option. Breakfast was a highlight — plenty of choices, fresh ingredients, and efficient service. The front desk staff were consistently helpful, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay. The location is ideal for exploring Florence’s historic center. Everything we wanted to see was walkable from the hotel — Duomo, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio — with the exception of the train station, which we reached easily by cab. Overall, a smooth and pleasant stay with thoughtful service and excellent access to the heart of the city.

I will never stay at a different hotel when coming to Florence. Not only is the location perfect and within walking distance of everywhere, but the hotel staff operates beyond expectations. We arrived at the hotel early, so we knew we wouldn’t be able to check in right away. Santiago welcomed us, sat us down and did all but give us keys to the room (since it wasn’t available yet). He asked us if we wanted restaurant recommendations. We shrugged. We’d been to Firenze before and knew a few key places we wanted to return to. Santiago gave us THE BEST RECOMMENDATIONS!! We went to four of the five places on his list and they were the best meals of the trip. One, in particular, was my favorite meal my entire stay during our time in Florence - Rome - Milan. Do not skip on his suggestions, if offered. This was a milestone birthday trip at the end of October, so I upgraded our room and if I dare say it myself, think I stayed in the best room in the hotel. But, I also have a feeling nearly every room is the best room. That said, I will personally ask for this junior suite again. It was magnificent and the view was outstanding. One evening of the stay, we also received complimentary drinks and apperitivos before heading out to dinner. This is our second stay at San Firenze Suites and Spa (our first was in 2021, right out of COVID restrictions). This hotel was perfect then, and it was even better this stay. Incidentally, if you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or anything significant, tell the staff. I was greeted to a lovely surprise the evening of my birthday. Thank you for making our trip the most memorable imaginable. We will return!
