Harbour Hotel Fowey

Really lovely stay at the Fowey hotel. Amazing view amazing staff. Fowey is the the best. Get on!

I'm not really sure where to start reviewing the Harbour Hotel in Fowey - part of me doesn't want to publicise how fantastic this place is! We really enjoyed our stay - we really didn't want to leave! The helpful and friendly staff (Karina on our last evening at dinner was particularly brilliant), excellent food (we had a cream tea, breakfasts and dinner) and a superb room with a stunning view over the bay. The hotel's position in Fowey is fantastic - allowing short walks to the centre, the harbour and walks - as well as having those jaw-dropping views from the bar/restaurant. Thank you for your hospitality and we'd love to come back and stay again!

Great location- high up, where the views of Fowey are lovely. Staff members are very nice and professional. Decent breakfast, with lovely sea vistas, good atmosphere in the bar in the evening and highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding !

If you want the best hotel to experience the beautiful Fowey, The Fowey Harbour Hotel is where you need to be. This was our 3rd trip here and everything was just as excellent as we remembered. The staff are incredibly professional but they are also so friendly, we had many laughs with several of them. Our room was just perfect with a view across the harbour, a couple of chairs out on the balcony to watch the constantly changing scenery - we did this a lot, comfortable chairs to do the same inside if the weather is misbehaving. The most comfortable bed, beautiful linen, sockets at bed height to charge your phones etc, a bathroom well supplied with shower gel etc. and we had a small separate sitting room with sofa which we used to store luggage so it wasn't cluttering up the main bedroom. As to eating and drinking, there is a lovely bar with spectacular views and the bartender mixes a very fine negroni. We then moved to the dining room eating in the hotel each night (3) choosing from the wide ranging but concise menu. Husband ate every type of fish on the menu, and I (not such a fishy person) ate chicken, asparagus, cheese soufflé with smoked haddock and ham terrine all followed by some beautiful desserts which we couldn't resist. Continental breakfast was included in our package with the choice to upgrade to a hot menu if wished, which we did on a couple of occasions. Again the food was brilliant, Husband's full English was certainly full, and I had the fluffiest, freshly made pancakes with bacon and maple syrup ( pancakes are often prepared ahead and just warmed up these weren't). The hotel is very organised, emailing to advise booking parking and a table if we wished to dine in. We had a phone call to check if we had any special requests or questions a few days before our trip, things it's easy to forget about sometimes. The 3 nights spent here really were perfect and this will most definitely be an annual trip for us.

We had a lovey stay in Harbour Hotel Fowey! The room was spacious with a great kingsize bed and everything we need. Nice bathroom with bath and separate shower and beautiful large towels. A special mention for Harrie who was so friendly and kind and her service was exceptional. She did everything she could to make breakfast most enjoyable!

Lovely hotel with good views. Had a sea view room which I am glad I picked. Nice to chill out at the bar or on restaurant/bar balcony Draw back is limited parking, so had to park at Fowey main car park (did ring up beforehand to reserve space, but told all spaces are reserved). Personally think they turn their esplanade garden to extra parking. Personally I would rather parking at hotels I stay at, aware website said limited car parking, but public car park not as secure as I would like. There is no CCTV in Fowey car park. Continental breakfast was average, did consider upgrading to the cooked breakfast but an extra £10. Okay not a huge price, but think this price needs to be reviewed - if I wanted scrambled eggs instead of continental breakfast it was £10 extra. Staff were friendly
