Tui Suneo Royal Kenz - All Inclusive

I have written something like 158 reviews on TripAdvisor and get so disappointed with some of the reviews I read as I am looking at places to visit. This was my 5th trip to Tunisia, my 1st, on my 21st birthday some 40 years ago. Whenever I travel, I always RESET my expectations, you cannot compare a Marriot Hotel in say Spain, with a Marhaba Hotel in Tunisia it’s unrealistic as the countries economies are completely different, as is the available infrastructure, services etc.. Firstly, and most importantly Tunisia is a nation of TIPPING, it’s normal and an act of appreciation. With the current rate of £5 = 20TND it’s really respectful to offer a few TND at dinner with a smile and good service. All the staff work long hours and don’t earn a European salary it’s makes a difference. I have always done this and it makes people life’s that much better. The same for bar staff and the staff serving drinks on the terrace etc. So let’s get the bad points over with at the Kenz…. there are none, nope, not a single bad point. It’s a beautiful hotel in a lovely location, secure and protected by guarded gates front and back. The staff are just brilliant, attentive but not in your face, always smiling despite the long hours they do. The rooms are clean and functional, the air conditioning worked well, maids cleaned daily, if you wish to have a quiet day, then a do not disturb sign will keep you at peace. There is a fridge for milk etc. we took some of those ‘tubes’ you get in restaurants, with us, they are cheap off Amazon, and got a carton of milk in the local shop for a few Dinar when we run out. Our balcony had a lovely view of over the swimming pools. The beach is a 5 minute walk out the secure back gate and is sectioned off with its own bar, the usual water sports are available to hire. Let’s talk about food! The quality, options, cuisines from all over should satisfy all tastes, vegetarian is also included the food was brilliant. There were theme days, Mexican, Italian etc. I tended to eat the Tunisian food most days, why would I want a ‘fry up’, when I can have a tasty Ojja, the local dish of peppers, onions, chilli garlic and eggs, it’s delicious and leaves you with loads of energy, not bloated in …….. The food was always fresh and cooked well, we certainly didn’t get hungry. The staff in the restaurant were truly brilliant. My wife has spinal stenosis and mobility is challenging. Each day they had a table ready for us, with a chair missing so she could use her mobility chair. Our departure time was 06:45 (we had a private taxi), and they made sure the restaurant was opened at 06:00 so we could have some food and drink before we left. There is entertainment daily, both during the day and evenings, the team work really hard to make sure everyone is having a good time, the same for evening entertainment which covered act with flames as well as life music etc. There are a couple of eating options outside the main restaurant which we didn’t try.

Came back on Friday from our favourite holiday hotel. We love this hotel and its super friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them, it’s was my hubby’s birthday when we were there. They decorated the table in the restaurant and the lovely maid decorated the bed. Shout out to Nazar the maître d’ who looked after us at every meal time as my hubby using a walking stick. The white party on the Thursday evening is fab, with numerous cocktails and entertainment. The hotel is spotless. Entertainment every day and night is great. We’ll be back next September

I have just come back after a week of staying at this hotel and we'll start with the GOOD bits. The staff were very professional, polite and very helpful. I have read some reviews saying that the food wasn't very good. I found the food to be excellent with a great selection and quality. If you can't find something that you like here, there's something seriously wrong. The two staff at the pool bar we're lovely, especially the young lady that did the snacks, she did a mean tuna and onion palini. BAD bits. I would not rate the hotel as a four star, it is a bit tatty in places and is in need of a refurb especially by the bottom pool and bar area as there was lots of tiles broken and missing. We where in room 137. The sink was loose the toilet flush didn't work properly, the curtains had holes in them and the view from the balcony had ducting of some description running across it. The beds had rips in them and where so hard that we had to go by two lilos from the shop and put them on the bed to sleep on. The hotel beach area is a 10 minute walk away and the bar is shut from the end of October. I will not be staying here again as I have stayed in hotels in the area that are better.

First holiday with Tui and from the holiday count down to the local tips and great staff it won't be out last. The hotel was always spotless with every room having a balcony. Spa was luxury and covered a full range of treatments. Food covered all taste cravings from local dishes to pizza and chips and always with a desert table to sink an army ! The trips arranged by tui were great we did el jem and the blue city. Both tour guides spoke fluent English and explained in detail the history and current standing of tunisia. Always the bus we were collected in was clean with seat belts and air con.

The hotel was lovely, needs a little TLC in places but overall really goid and clean. Animation team were amazing, so friendly and had time for everyone, they really made it special especially Dally,smiler and love Shazzy ❤️ Food was good and a nice selection, we sat on the same tables for the week and our 2 waiters were lovely, little short happy guy and his friend Mr Smiley( you'll know who we mean if you've been ) Pool was cold but was Nov so expected, private beach is beautiful We will definitely be back xx Sarah the TU Rep was very helpful and lovely xx

My son and I stayed at the Royal Kenz for one week. The rooms are lovely , beautifully decorated and spacious. The food is good for an all inclusive stay. The pool and the beach are beautifully looked after by the staff. The spa is the best spa around. Treatments choices and the Thalasso are better than spas in the Uk. Most of all what makes this place is the warm welcome by the staff. They are what makes this hotel a must stay.
