ANYU Hotel - Hangzhou West Lake

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at Anyu. The service is impeccable— you are looked after in every sense of the word. All the staff are polite and kind. You can also sense the consideration behind the amenities provided, complimentary services, the design of the room and the public spaces. The breakfast is delicious— a slightly lighter flavour but to our taste. The afternoon tea or evening refreshment is also lovely. The only downside is that the location is nothing to boast about, so if stunning views or secluded retreats are what you’re after, then this is not the place for you. You do get some noise due to the hotel being in a busy area with clusters of other hotels (from car drop offs, hustle and bustle etc). That being said, it is still quiet enough to get a good night’s sleep, but you probably won’t be able to sleep in. Altogether, we really loved our stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to come back if we were in Hangzhou again. We would also love to visit other Anyu branches throughout China.

Where Savoir-Faire Meets Savoir-Être I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire team at ANYU, especially Lily, Coco, Cery, Evan, and Anna, as well as those team members I did not have the pleasure of meeting. While I initially chose ANYU for its prestigious location—marking my first stay with the brand—it was the exceptional hospitality I received that truly cemented my decision to return. Product First, I must highlight the hotel's thoughtfully curated amenities. As a frequent traveler, I seldom use hotel toiletries, but ANYU has completely changed my perspective. The products provided demonstrate a careful consideration of the guest's experience and perspective. For instance, the vanity kit, which included a nail clipper, was a lifesaver. Dining The dining experience was exceptional in both quality and generosity. The staff paid close attention to my preferences, and I was particularly touched when Evan kindly arranged for my dish to be customized after learning I do not enjoy spicy food. This personalized service truly embodied the spirit of savoir-être. Furthermore, I was impressed by the thoughtful detail of serving food on warmed chinaware—it is these subtle touches that make a significant difference. Service From the moment I arrived, the welcome experience was outstanding. Lily greeted me with a warm smile and provided a thorough briefing on the hotel's facilities, while Cery promptly assisted with my luggage. This initial display of genuine hospitality was so compelling that it influenced my decision to extend my stay for an additional night. Moreover, whenever I was waiting in the lobby, Coco and Evan consistently went out of their way to enhance my comfort, often by offering a cup of warm tea.

It is a very nice boutique hotel. The staffs were very friendly and the breakfast, afternoon tea and supper snack are all extremely thoughtful. Definitely would recommend to friends and anyone whos going to visit HZ. However, since the hotel style is inspired by nature and earth palette, hence the room decor and lighting are not everyones cup of tea. If I am travelling solo, I think its a bit too dark and scary for me.

What an amazing hotel! Fron the lovely staff, the interior, the breakfast and the toiletries; you cannot go wrong here. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend anyone wanting a more laidback/resort vibe to give this a go. My only gripe is the distance to the city center which is about a 30-40 min taxi drive, but it is very close to everything around west lake.
