We found this hotel by accident. What a lucky one it was! 10 mins outside of Hvar by taxi the hotel provides a shuttle service on arrival and departure. After the hustle and bustle of Hvar town it was a great place to come back to in the evening. A lovely pool and directly on a small beach it was really quiet. There are at least four good restaurants in the village of Milna as well as in the hotel so we happily dined here each evening. The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient and many from the same family (Tudors!). We will be back!

After reading recent reviews I was very nervous about our booking. However no need to, our room was fantastic. Air con, loads of storage, amenities of a 4/5 star hotel, lovely toiletries, lots of fresh towels, soft beach towels, large fridge, tea and coffee, robes and slippers. Beach literally outside the door, couple of mini marts, lovely restaurants and 5/10 mins drive to Hvar. Free shuttle provided. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Don’t hesitate to book

Loved this amazing place. The hotel has this amazing and calm atmosphere that is difficult to explain, but is needed to experience. Beach just outside the door and great rooms. See you soon.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Fortuna. It’s a charming, family-run hotel set in the serene village of Milna, just a short drive from the busy town of Hvar. The atmosphere was calm, the setting was stunning, and the hospitality truly stood out.
Our room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, with a balcony overlooking the peaceful bay. The views were beautiful, especially in the early morning and at sunset. It’s the perfect place to unwind after exploring the island.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful — nothing felt like too much trouble. Breakfast each morning was fresh, generous, and varied, with lots of local touches. We also had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was excellent — fresh seafood and delicious local wine.
The location is ideal if you’re looking to escape the crowds of Hvar town while still being within easy reach. The only minor downside is the cost of taxis, which were consistently €20 each way for an 8-minute journey into Hvar — a bit steep given the distance. However, the quiet and natural beauty of Milna more than made up for it.
If you’re after a more relaxed, authentic experience on Hvar Island, Hotel Fortuna is a wonderful choice.

This hotel is fooling tourists. They didn’t give us room in the main hotel but behind the hotel in a secluded building which was so spooky and we couldn’t sleep and had to finally cancel our booking and shift to another hotel at midnight. Room has wires popping out from the floor imagine and they are calling themselves 4 star hotel. I wish I could give them minus star. I think they dunno the meaning of 4 star. Their room is like a matchbox so claustrophobic. On top the receptionist is so rude and has bad attitude. Dunno how to talk to customers at all. There are so many better options in Hvar please go there and save your money.

We had the worst experience , having read lovely reviews we decided to book this hotel on our anniversary , upon reaching the hotel to our surprise we were given a room in another building which just had 2 rooms which felt worst then an Airbnb , we trusted the reviews and the 4 star rating status and decided to book this hotel for our special occasion and we were utterly disappointed , to add further the receptionist was unwilling to help and was rude and said “ you can leave “ if you don’t like the room . I truly believe all the great reviews are fake and not genuine and that you must avoid staying in this so called 4 star property which isn’t even worth 1 star , but wanted to talk to the owner but we were denied . Extremely disappointing experience .

My wife and I are visiting Croatia for the first time and have several stops on the trip. Our third stop was on Hvar. Not wanting to be right in the middle of Hvar Town, we chose Hotel Fortuna in a small village called Milna. We had a very lovely time. The property is family owned, and has tremendous service and a super friendly team. There is a pool, it is manicured with beautiful flowers and plants, and the best is it's right on the Adriatic. A delicious breakfast, as well as a reasonable, but delicious restaurant. During checkout we were treated to a free shuttle back to the Port to catch our ferry, but also gifted a bottle of Posip Wine from the family. Yesterday we rented a couple of beach chairs and umbrella right on the sea. There is a convenience store run by a very helpful and friendly family next door. It's walking distance to many other restaurants on the sea. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone visiting the area to stay at Hotel Fortuna. As a bonus, they also recommended a great taxi service with a gentleman named Damjan who was also friendly and very helpful.

Wonderful location and friendly family run hotel Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at this hotel, it’s a great location and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The beach next to the hotel is wonderful for swimming and has reasonably priced beds unlike other places nearby, there’s also a good 5k flat run you can do along the coast - unusual in such a hilly island. Loads to do nearby so get a car if you can if not then there’s a taxi service that runs from the hotel and is always present.Food was also a plus we tried all the restaurants along the front in the village, all were good and had their own good points but the food in the hotel topped them all

I don’t often review but our stay here was just so incredible. You should absolutely book to stay here. They include your taxi from the port and so it was very easy to get here. The rooms had incredible blue ocean views, made for incredible sunsets. Private beach so nice and quiet compared to the main town. The staff was SO friendly. Would bring you drinks to the pool and food to your room. I can’t wait to come back!
