Paradis Plage Surf Yoga & Spa

The location is great, imi ouadar itself is a heaven on earth, however i've experienced few annoying things that i am listing in the below: 1. The breakfast buffet is outrageous (in a bad way), sausages were awful, poor choices, salads smells really bad, coffee tastes really bad (had to buy from the bar at an overpriced price).. 2. Room barely cleaned, had to give instructions and asked the maid to come back twice. --

The resort is stunning and very clean with excellent facilities. The food and drink at the beach bar and restaurant were fantastic. Casablanca beer was lovely will need to remember that one. Our stay wouldn’t have been nearly as enjoyable if it wasn’t for the very friendly staff who looked after us so well. Was fun talking about football with everyone who recognised my Celtic top. We have returned from a 2 week idyllic stay at Paradis Plage. The hotel is beautiful and the craftsmanship that has gone into making it is amazing. The staff are always hard at work cleaning, gardening, and keeping the grounds and hotel looking gorgeous. It is has a small boutique vibe. There is a private beach area and grassy area overlooking the public beach. A gorgeous pool. Beach bar, table tennis, hammocks, a meditation garden, massages on the beach, a hammam and spa, surf school, yoga sessions, cute gym with daily fitness sessions, lovely kids playgound area with zip wire, you have to do it all. Special shout out to Yassine in the pool area, he goes above and beyond to ensure that you have your sun lounger in the exact place and reserves it for you everyday if requested. Yassine is always so happy and he looks after all the little children playing by the pool, he is a very vigilant pool attendant and manages to do everything with such joy and ease. And Walid, on arrival was the most wonderful and attentive guest liaison who helped us throughout our stay, shame we did not see him to say goodbye. Also other great members of the team were Kahmal on reception and Driss in the restaurant and others who we did not see daily, or get their names, but were all 100% dedicated to making sure our stay/dinner/lunch/breakfast/bar/beach experience was enjoyable and easy. Lunch on the beach! No problem, Room service! It will be with you in moments. Also big up to the taxi/shuttle/personal transfer drivers too. My partner and Son did the surfing lessons with the brilliant Ishmael and Amin, what excellent surfing instructors and so dedicated to making sure that everyone was safe and that everyone was actually managing to surf by the end of the lesson! My little boy was so happy to be taught by Ishmael, he didn't want to say goodbye. The food was very nice, it is at boutique hotel prices and so was the wine! In comparison to the outside eateries it was expensive, but it was all enjoyable. Get in the omelette cue for breakfast as soon as you hit the buffet, everything ran out quickly but was replenished as quickly as it went, great choices for both adults and kids. For dinner, we did not eat there every night, but we enjoyed some delicious meals at the beach bar and La Louge, I have to say, the chicken burger was amazing. We had a fab kitchentte and we made dinner in our room some nights (the local shops next to the hotel have snacks and cheese and meat and pasta etc, so easy to get together some kids meals together). We also made it out to Taghazout where were went to 'World of Waves' on the seafront (they sell beer and wine) and 'O Playa' in Agadir on the promenade (also sell booze). Locally we went to the Happy Calamar, literally in a car park but the food was amazing (no beer etc), the seafood platters were outrageously good and the whole family were fed for the price of a bottle of wine in the hotel. Our stay at Paradis Plage has been a story of 2 halves. On a positive note, the hotel itself is clean, tidy & public areas are very well maintained. The pool area is lovely but has been busy in high season. There is an army of staff who are friendly & speak good enough English/French to respond to your needs. The yoga/spa/gym & surf facilities are all easily accessible &, if you are happy to spend the money, there is loads you can do to keep you busy. There are lots of excursions on offer to get you out & about to experience Moroccan culture & places of interest, The food is great. Breakfast buffet with loads of choice. We especially enjoyed the laid back vibe at the beach restaurant for lunch/dinner. On the other hand, our initial welcome at reception on arrival was lukewarm at best with very little information being shared. We have had to ask a lot of questions about where things are & how things work which could easily be shared on arrival or in a guest hand book (there is a hotel app which is helpful to an extent ). The surrounding area of Imi Ouaddar is a big disappointment - there are shops & restaurants within walking distance but it’s been very busy in peak season, there’s lots of litter on the streets (& on the beach at times) & we didn’t find venturing out an enjoyable experience. We were lucky enough to have an upstairs Premium suite with a great view & spacious balcony but not all rooms are so lucky & the interior decor is most definitely tired. Sound proofing is not great either! Paradis Plage is a great concept & has many good things going for it but I wouldn’t rush back.
