The first time I stayed here I came with my husband and we stayed at the level, now this is my second time staying and my husband’s third time staying - my parents joined us too! (we did not stay at the level) this definitely won’t be my last time visiting. The hotel itself and its grounds are absolutely beautiful, I can only describe it as serene and tranquil. I love the fact that there is an animal sanctuary and they do grow some of their own fruit/veg/herbs. They’re currently expanding their villas which also look amazing! The staff are exceptional- they’re so friendly, professional and attentive. The staff are what makes this hotel 10/10 and they’re the reason I’d come back! Yes some bits are tired looking but it’s so insignificant in the grand scheme of things. You constantly see staff painting and cleaning. The grounds are so big you have to understand the upkeep is immense. My only minor complaint would be, this time my small light wasn’t working in the shower, but I did not complain as I was using my outside shower mainly anyway. Me and my family are foodies, we loved all the food we ate. Breakfast, lunch and dinner had amazing service, the food was always fresh and there is something for everyone. I have read some previous negative reviews and I really don’t understand why people would lie. They have a huge selection of food, different cuisines. Everything is clean, organised and fresh - I couldn’t fault it. The only thing I found different this time to last were the fresh fruit juices, they were much more tastier last time but this could just be time of year and when fruits are in season etc. Overall, I would definitely recommend. I would also urge those interested to ensure they go on tours, go out the resort - especially to stone town to see the culture and how the locals live. Everyone is friendly, despite most locals living in not so great conditions no one asks for help, so please if you do visit and see people in need and have the opportunity to help someone or the community- please do. On my travels I’ve seen many orphanages and villages that need support. To summarise, I’d definitely recommend.
