It’s difficult to describe the magnificent experience we had at this amazing hotel. The staff, including the exceptional management team, was incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable about everything in the area. The rest of the staff took their professional cues from the general manager, who seemed to never stop working, or go home. This is the kind of place that will remain in our memories forever. The place is gorgeous and classically appointed, in accordance with the stunning Victorian architecture. The property is landscaped with ancient trees and is in the midst of a sprawling dairy farm and virtually next door to the 26,000 acre National Park. One can experience the nature just out the window.

Superb!! So, think of your ideal wedding venue. A peaceful place in a country setting but near to a bustling town for shopping and entertainment. A place small enough to be taken over by the wedding party. A place with all the facilities you would expect in a top hotel but the feel of your grandmother’s home. Staff that seem to read your mind and even provide help you didn’t know you needed. A manager, who helps bring a smooth flow to an otherwise chaotic event. Food that has you licking your lips for hours afterwards. A place that all your guests will think is heavenly. Well, that place is Cahernane House Hotel near Killarney, Co. Kerry, managed by Emer Corridan. Our family enjoyed our daughter’s wedding there in the summer of 2024. As I sit paging through the wedding album, the warm glow I feel includes my memories of Emer and all the hotel staff from the lady who added extras of my favorite tea bag to the room without asking and the bar man who stayed with us to 4 am and of course to Emer who made the whole weekend work as smooth a fresh silk. Make your own memories at Cahernane House.

We had a lovely time at the Cahernane House. It has picturesque grounds complete with sheep, chickens and we even saw a stag. We visited yesterday and it’s giving all the moody, Irish fall vibes. Exactly what we were envisioning for this trip. We stayed in room 7 (heron room). It was very nice and the bathroom was huge with a large claw foot tub which we enjoyed. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Especially Veronica. She made sure that we were taken care of. Our meal in the Cellar bar was great! I recommend the chicken. My husband had a burger. We would definitely come back if we ever get out this way again! -R & M Sorensen

Cahernane House is one of a kind. The ambience, the chats with the team, the beauty of the building and the rooms really elevated the whole experience. The Halloween Seanchaí experience was very entertaining, so unique and suited to the setting. Everyone we met was welcoming and kind, we became well acquainted with some of the team and they really made the whole stay even more unique and personable. The Cahernane House delivered on both luxury, ambience and experience alongside warm staff, the hotel certainly personified the sentiment of pride in it's people and place. Well done!

What a lovely place to stay - the setting was picturesque and the accommodations were just right. We had rooms in a renovated outbuilding, which was perfect.

We stayed in a junior suite in the Garden wing. The garden wing was actually just an extension of the original manor house building. Our room was quite large and we had a beautiful view of the grounds and surrounding fields which regularly had a herd of deer passing through. The furnishings were classic, but just a little bit old fashioned. Our room had a bathtub and a great shower. The onsite restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It was a quick cab ride into town for dinner when we didn't eat at the on-site restaurant. We felt this was a great central location for doing the Gap of Dunlop (highly recommend e-bikes), Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. BTW, while were there we learned the hotel name is pronounced Ker-Naan

We had a lovely experience at the Cahernane House Hotel! The staff was so wonderful, the room was just beautiful, the views were phenomenal, we had a fun night in the bar downstairs, and the FOOD! We had a nice breakfast delivered to our room one morning, and we had the BEST dinner. My husband will be talking about the braised lamb for life. The hotel was a short and enjoyable walk from town. I will absolutely recommend this hotel to others!
