We hired a room as a company break away venue for 2 days of training. The room was well equipped, quiet and spacious, and the service we received was excellent with a high regard for attention to detail. Every staff member we engaged with had a big smile and seemed genuinely eager to assist us wherever possible. What a treat, I will certainly be back.

From the moment I arrived everything was perfect . Check in was easy staff super friendly and helpful they even managed to buy me a hairbrush when I forgot mine My room was spacious well appointed and clean . Highlight was my private deck right on the lagoon with the most wonderful view . The two restaurants situated in the hotel ( The Nest and Il de Pain ) are wonderfull with fresh and beautifully presented meals, just an all round excellent stay I was there for five nights and loved every minute

Absolutely lovely Hotel. Clever modern conversion of an old building. Very cool and very ‘hip’. Rooms spacious comfortable spotlessly clean and well equipped. The restaurant was good too. Easily the best of those nearby. Some really nice touches for guests (complementary water and beer, games, library and knitting!) Staff were first class. Friendly helpful and polite.

Very unique hotel. We got a 2 bedroom apartment, although there was only 2 of us. So very spacious, immaculate, everything you needed. We loved it. Friendly staff, great location looking over the water. Bakery below which did amazing food for breakfast and lunch. Walk to the restaurants and shops minutes away. Will be back and definitely recommend.

We have stayed here for three years in a row and each year we have increased our stay duration by a day. We now stay for four days and thoroughly enjoy the set up at the Lofts. All you need in terms of drinks and food are on hand in the hotel however there is a real openness to have the same at outlets in the immediate vicinity. This is largely achieved by the architecture of the historic building. Each time we arrive we find a new innovation: this years supply of bottles of Corona for sundown was much appreciated!

A very good stopover along the Garden Route, I definitely wanted more time to explore Knysna happily staying at The Lofts. The accommodation is classy minimalist. As part of the same building as The Nest restaurant, they are very considerate of noise and the restaurant closes at 9.30 I think. The very warm welcome from Ruan and Mercy was a fabulous start. Ruan was so lovely walking us around explaining the history of the building and the area. The building is beautiful, individual and interesting - very cool how it has been designed! Our room was great with a nice balcony - if I came again I might prefer a room overlooking the water which would be amazing. A nice touch was a hand-written card and complimentary jar of biscuits. The Nest restaurant staff are also so lovely and the food was divine. Even described as small, the portions were still sizeable! We had a great table with a wonderful view. A great stay, thank you!

The lofts was a great hotel to base part of our honeymoon at. We were given an upgrade upon arrival and were made to feel special by the hotel. Food is amazing, both breakfast and dinner! Make sure you stay here if in Knysna!

Great weekend
This was our third stay. Again, did not disappoint. Ideally situated for restaurants, if you don’t want to eat there, which is excellent. Very relaxing stay with a lovely terrace
