Song Hotel Kunming

Booked a family villa for 4 people to stay and honestly the photos don't do the place justice! It was a beautifully set up and the extra services (photography, welcome platter etc.) were a fun touch. There was a wide range of food for a buffet breakfast (as recounted by my parents) although a bit expensive in comparison to other hotels of similar calibre. The amenities and architecture were definitely a standout here!

I’ve to say this is the best hotel in Kunming, we had terrible busy conference week but the stay at Song hotel gives us wonderful relief in such busy days. We had booked 4 villa rooms including 3 foreigners and the hotel provides us tremendous service during the week. Their facilities, sanitary conditions, restaurant, breakfast, conference room etc are way beyond my expectation. Especially their timely response throughout housekeeper Xiao Bu who can always solve our requirements in just a second. Special thanks to their Chinese restaurant which severed delicate vegetarian food to my colleagues!

Lovely stay at Song Hotel. Special shout out to Winnie and Blair who accommodated all our needs and made our stay as comfortable as possible. Amenities-wise everything was well stocked and our family felt at ease and at home. Price is slightly steep all things considered, but we had more space than we’d ever need. Solid recommend.

Highly recommend Song Hotel - fantastic location in a quiet part of the town but short ride to the city, stuff (Janice deserves a special mention) went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, new facilities and stunning villa - we wish we could stay longer and would recommend staying here to anyone travelling to Kunming.

This is an extremely pretty and grand hotel. To be able to stay in a villa, and with the lobby overlooking the lake, the hotel ambience was amazing. The service of the staffs were amazing. The bell boys operating the hotel buggy could remember which room we stayed within the day. The breakfast service to the room was not bad too. Not the best hotel food i have tasted, but still satisfying. The room was comfortable, big and feels like home to rewind. The location is pretty far away from the main city and many attractions of Kunming, so the best way is to Didi out. There are some hiccups with our cardkey not being able to open the doors the next day, and we had to wait outside the find a staff in this massive hotel ground and wait again for another staff to arrive and open for us. Another problem was wifi, which we had trouble connecting to as it requires a China number. The room service staff who was amazing helped as with it. But this should be an improvement for overseas guest to be able to connect to wifi. For the ambience and traditional setup of the hotel, it was still a great stay.
