It was a fantastic cultural experience. We felt like guests being invited into someone's home rather than a regular hotel guest. We stayed in the room with the garden which definitely seemed to be the correct choice, the beds were very comfortable and the traditional Japanese breakfast was excellent! Definitely would reckon this experience!

Such an amazing experience in Kyoto!
If you’re looking for a traditional Japanese experience you must stay in a Ryokan! The staff were PERFECT. I can’t think of any hotel staff who have ever been so nice and helpful.
Something to note:
There’s a curfew at 11 or 12 I think, this is not the kind of place to plan on going out. Think of staying at your grandmas house, her rules.

非常日式的酒店，整棟建築已經一百多年的歷史。如果想體驗日式榻榻米風格一定要住一晚。酒店人員態度很好，且都可以用英語交流，早餐也特別日式味道不錯。唯一要注意的是酒店是公共浴室，可能沒那麼方便，洗澡時間需要提前和酒店人員溝通好。

性價比非常差，裏面設施十分老化，浴室和廁所都是公共的，像是日本版的農家樂，就舒適性而言糟糕透頂。3000多的價格匪夷所思，住進去我無語得笑了半天，可能都花在老宅税費上了吧，目標羣體也應該是沒體驗過日式建築的白人，想要體驗傳統日式旅館的且不在乎價格的可以試試。總的來説非常體驗不好，對不起這個價格，一千左右甚至都不值得考慮。

Fantastischer aufenthalt in einem traditionellen japanischen Ryokan. Wer die Erfahrung machen möchte, nehmt dieses Hotel. Die Zimmer sind ein Traum, der Hofgarten einfach wundervoll. Für Raucher gibt es auf dem Gelände auch eine kleine Ecke, also kein großes Umherirren. Das ganze Hotel mitsamt dem privaten Bad welches man pro Tag pro Person eine halbe Stunde zur Verfügung bekommt haben überzeugt. Aber auch das Personal ist der Wahnsinn, super nett, super zuvorkommend, alles in allem ein unglaublicher Service. Alle Bilder die hier online stehen, können den Zauber der diesen Irt umhüllt nicht im Ansatz wiederspiegeln.
Ich hatte das Japanische Deluxe Zimmer mit Gartenblick und kann es jedem weiterempfehlen, der das alte Japan fühlen möchte, oder einfach nur ein Anime-&Manga-Fan ist und einmal so wohnen möchte wie die Protagonisten aus unseren Lieblingsserien.
