The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed soaking and lounging around the property and also visited the chickens and puppies during our visit. There were some definite downsides, the nature walk being one. It was very unkempt with piles of broken chairs and old equipment littering the grounds. Most dissatisfying was the customer service. We arrived early to soak before our check in and were told multiple times to return the day pass robes or we would be charged. Later when we checked in for our room, in the heat of the day, making the drive around the property ready to relax, we found our room only to discover they did not put us in the room type we had reserved. We went back to the front to have this corrected and were given a different key with no explanation or apology. When we got to our correct room, there was a housekeeper inside still cleaning it. Called the front desk to ask when it would be ready and they stated it should be already then put us on hold for over 10min. When they got back on the line they said “we just called and your room is ready”. Again no apology and even a tone that we were making it up. The room was very nice however the AC didn’t work and privacy blinds were not functional. This was important the next morning when a housekeeper arrived to clean the room prior to checkout and saw us naked. We mentioned that when we checked out, another strange interaction, to which they replied “they were probably just checking if you had left yet.” Why would that make it ok and why wouldn’t they know? We still had to return our ever important robes and wrist bands, our car was registered with them and parked just outside the casita, and it was more than an hour before check out time. We did enjoy our time overall but some small adjustments in how they interact would go a long way.

If you're use to good spas, skip this! I won't be back. Too many kids, noise, stairs, long walks and simply not up to par. Good for 20/30 ish crowd. Restaurant was adequate. Fish tacos good. Chicken therapy was cool. Go to original ojo! way better!

We had a lovely experience soaking in the mineral springs, swimming in the saltwater pool, and relaxing in the jetted hot tub. Then we checked into our beautifully appointed room before eating a delicious dinner at the Blue Heron. Ozzy was very helpful getting us settled into our room.

This is was a completely unspa experience, there was a line out the door that took forever, the pools were over crowded and the massage therapist I was scheduled with called and off so when all six of us arrived I was informed very rudely that I would not be getting a massage and that was that!! Really a horrible experience and I would never recommend this spa.

Don’t want to knock the local ymca, but this destination masquerades as a legitimate hot springs at a Four Seasons, but it’s no more than hot tubs at ymca. Our host brought us to the private hot tub spring called OJITO, on our booked time, and said that the “blinds” (which make it private) have a mechanical problem and don’t close (so everyone can see in and we can see out). At that moment, she then said maintenance will come in and fix it during our 50 minute ($80 dollar) private hot spring soak reservation. Btw - the hot spring tub looked like a hot tub at a gym from a size and comfort standpoint, and could only comfortably fit two adults although they say four people, who need to be really really friendly . Oh btw she (our greeter) said we could change clothes and shower in the public bathroom. Also note that our greeter was very unkind and indifferent to the whole situation. So we just said we want our money back - best decision of the day. However it was a pretty drive.

For your review, thank you. As a local resident, I have experienced Ojo Santa Fe Spa more than once. I had a poor experience this time around, that was by no means taken into account, as I took the time to report to the check in supervisor the following : - Poor water pressure in the 3 showers, corroborated by others in the women's showers. - No available products, nor product holders in the handicapped shower. - Due to a crowded day, on a Monday, I was told there was no token for a locker but I could use my companion's locker or carry around my belongings... - One towel was provided, no refill available and piled up used towels were waiting to be cleared up. - the steam room was closed, yet no one mentioned it at sign up, which is the least you could ensure ; transparency of services one pays for with a day pass. When I also mentioned that the noise level on a busy day was quite high and maybe they could have staff go around to remind guests to be mindful of others with the volume of conversations, I was told we are not the same ownership of Ojo Caliente Spa Springs. We are, quote ; "a tranquilo space but we are in an open wide space, Ojo Caliente are in a tight space'. The check in supervisor listened, and said she would check the handicapped shower situation but yet, never once apologized for any of this, nor offered any compensation for a potential future visit. A spa is meant to at the very least ensure the water pressure and temperatures are at their best. What if I had come solo, with no locker token, my bag, wallet, and ids to carry around with no companion's locker to at least keep them safe ? I still had to carry around my shoes, clothes etc as their lockers do not provide enough space for 2 people. I do not go around looking for free stuff. At least, Ojo Caliente location, when they ran out of token for the women's lockers, they offer a discount, an estimated time when one could become available, show concern and look for solution, let alone the fact that the towels there are always plentiful for replacement and a size that allows full body drying or wrapping. Poor service, unaware travelers beware. I will not come back and encourage anyone reading to make the extra trip to OJO Caliente, which also provides, true mineral springs pools, no chlorine smell, a consistant servicing in place, cleanliness, and a cold pool to give contrast hydrotherapy.

It used to be a flourishing oasis full of life. Now it’s a cesspool full of chemicals. The place has turned into an unconscious factory where you soak in chemical soups and dry off with a plastic towel. We used to enjoy the nature there—ducks, fish, and turtles. They have all been replaced with a green/blue chemical that looks like a pond at a theme park in Texas. It is amazing how much ecological damage this company has done in just a couple of years. No more poolside restaurant now, either. I hope they change and get some decent management.

The walls between rooms are paper thin so bring earplugs - you will hear every word (and more) especially with an “active” couple next door. Grounds very nice, pools clean. Restaurant is average. Yoga in morning was best part!
