Impeccable hotel with high levels of service . The rooms were spacious and very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for the team . Great location for walking and getting up an appetite for the fab gourmet menu .

Our first time enjoying fine dining and wow what an experience. The staff are so welcoming and the service is exceptional. We started with bar snacks and drinks and then had the Autumn menu in the restaurant, which out of this world. So happy that we chose Northcote for our anniversary celebration, and we can’t wait to return.

The Northcote is very special to us. This time it was a very big birthday and we stayed two nights. We were upgraded to a fabulous room (thank you!) and despite awful weather we had a lovely two days. The food was as varied, surprising and delicious as ever, and the wine flight was tasty and imaginative. We will return as soon as we can. Thanks to all for your welcome and expertise.

We experienced the 5 course gourmet break. We arrived a little early and were surprised to be told we could have bubbles and cream tea. Complimentary under our stay and was such a wonderful surprise. I had told them in advance of my Strawberry allergy and intolerance to dairy. Nothing was too much trouble they provided alternatives without making me feel awkward or different. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Once we had finished we were shown to our room which was immaculate and beautiful with soft music playing in the background. The bathroom was spotless with a huge walk in shower and under floor heating and some fabulous Temple Spa goodies to use during our stay. We were asked to arrive in the bar half an hour before our dinner reservation so that we could be seated timely so we enjoyed a couple of cocktails in the bar which were both unusual and tasty. We were advised of the 5 course taster menu prior to being seated and again I had alternative choices to accommodate my needs but I was not made to feel like I was causing a fuss. Each course the dairy was replaced with an alternative and looking at it you couldn’t tell the difference! We opted for the wine flight to enhance our experience and so glad we did. The sommelier was excellent sharing information and answering our questions. The food was amazing and so tasty. The only criticism and it’s very minor - as the restaurant was quite busy it felt rushed at the start with staff rushing around. We weren’t rushed at all and thoroughly enjoyed our stay but the second half of our meal was far more relaxed. We will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend staying here absolutely 100% top marks … thank you all. Breakfast was delicious too and forgot to mention you can watch the kitchens from your room which was rather unique!
