They were incredibly helpful, professional, and patient — solving my issues quickly and making sure everything was taken care of. I stayed 3nights with family heavy luggage no one there to help or luggage boy …four to five people in front desk all with computer didn’t care much n not asking to send luggage boy,,,,in the corridor thick mattress hard to pull the two big bag…..morning at bf I asked for fresh juice n make me wait for 20min no sorry just drop on the table ….not much hospitality,warm welcome , greetings etc…little bit disappointed frm 5star label Htl…

Very good hotel, can view the famous Potala palace from bar and certain room. Delicious breakfast and more variety to be selected from restaurant and highly recommended dining in their Chinese restaurant, there serve so yummy goose liver

We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options.
The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.

It’s one of the nicest hotel compare to other hotels in Tibet. Staff weren’t the friendliest people but they are okay. Sometimes there’s door man sometimes no. Corridor is carpeted so it’s hard to push the luggages but you can always ask the hotel staff to help you. Location is a bit far from where all the buzz is… but easy to take a didi to the main area. Overall you basically paid more for standard shangrila standard. Comfortable bed.
