Hotel Carlton Lille

We were assigned an accessible junior suite though we didn't request an accessible room.. The bathroom was half finished and the wiring was not completed with the switches for the separate toilet and bath located in the doorway. There were signs pasted on the door to the toilet and the door to the shower stating that the hotel offered its apologies for the inconvenience! There was a workman's support pole found under the sinks which had to be removed by the technician when we complained. There was not a single hook, clothes stand, towel rack or rail anywhere in the bathroom, toilet or room. The hotel staff explained that they would send a technician a second time to drill hooks in the bathroom, we didn't bother since we were staying only 2 nights and didn't want the dust. The shower glass in the shower stall could not contain water within the stall and the floor became wet after we showered. Location wise the hotel is perfect and the staff were polite. Breakfast was a mix of hot cooked food and the usual cold cuts, cheeses, breads, yoghurt, fruits and juices. The breakfast room changes to a bar at night which serves affordable and nice cocktails.

Only stayed one night, but all very good. If there was a very good option, I would have chosen that, so more than good, but not excellent! Definitely use the Carlton again if I'm staying in Lille.

We were a returning customer bringing 4 friends with us. We got there as planned with the hotel at 14.00. Not once did they tell us there was a protest about to start and said there was no parking available for cars. I was very disappointed with front desk,They just didn't care and found them very rude especially the older big guy. Looking at reviews from other people I think we dodged a bullet. Won't be staying at that hotel again.
