Casa Republica was our introduction to Peru, and what an unbeatable first impression! Rose greeted us as soon as we arrived and immediately made us feel at home, providing detailed information not only about the hotel but also about Barranco—its restaurants, museums, and even where to find an ATM. Breakfast was excellent, with cooked-to-order eggs alongside a daily buffet of fresh options. Water (con and sin gas), coffee, and tea were available 24 hours a day, which was a thoughtful touch. Our king room was spacious, comfortable, and overlooked the gardens—a peaceful retreat in the city. On our last day, while we relaxed in one of the many sitting areas as our room was being cleaned, a gentleman I believe was the manager (unfortunately I misplaced his card) stopped by to ask how we were enjoying our stay. We ended up chatting for quite a while, and he recommended his favorite Peruvian dish—ají de gallina—at the local icon Isolina. As promised, it was absolutely delicious! When we return to Lima in mid November, there’s no question—we’ll stay at Casa Republica again.

Lovely hotel, well situated, with friendly helpful staff. Our room was comfortable with all the amenities you would expect & opened onto a small private garden area. In addition the restaurant offered a good choice of meals and the breakfast was also good, buffet style with daily egg dishes cooked to order. Overall, a very comfortable stay.

My sister and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Very accommodating staff, beautiful room, excellent breakfast and fun rooftop bar. Also, a fine selection of artwork. Wonderful location in trendy Barranco, close to the ocean, restaurants, shops and art galleries.

We arrived to barranco and adored the charm of this beautiful old building . We were on arrival disappointed by the room and the common areas which were old corridors and flooring in need of an upgrade. The hotel kindly upgraded us to the suite which I wouid highly recommend if your budget allows . This room was light and bright . With a desk and lounge area . The bathroom was again big and clean and bright . The hotel is in an excellent street in barranco / very close to the water and to the main area with all the restaurants. In the end we enjoyed 3 very nice nights at the hotel and were grateful

Great staff, beautiful hotel and area, comfortable bed and pillows…. Although it is noisy, you can here everything from inside the room. It really doesn’t break the deal if you like to go out at night late, but if you’re in bed early it’s not the best. But overall it’s lovely.

Very charming boutique hotel at a very good location close to Barranco bars and restaurants. Very clean and comfortable rooms, good size. Would recommend to avoid room adjacent to reception as can be noisy. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was pretty average in our opinion.

Tasteful clean rooms in elegant building with art gallery. Safe and beautiful neighborhood with all good food and cafes around in walking distance. Staff ALL are very very friendly and helpful. Excellent team. 1 ultra great staff has to be named - Rose, yiu are the best!
