For a hotel and considers itself “resort”, it’s very far from it. 1) The service was terrible. We had to set up our on lounge chairs. 2) The lifeguard was on her phone the entire time. 3) The garbage was overflowing to the point you couldn’t put anything else in it. 4) The lounge chairs and day beds are ripped and stained. 5) The service girl didn’t even think to take our lunch tray as she passed by. 6) Pool is overcrowded do to Resort Pass. Plus pool is too small for the amount of guests. The pool was filthy. Just take a look at these photos. We asked a young pool worker to clean it. He did his best by using a pail to remove it. About 15 minutes later, the same issue happened again. Unfortunately, this is was our view as our lounge chairs were right in right of this. I went downstairs and spoke to Megan who was dismissive. Instead of going upstairs to see exactly what I was talking about, she claimed it was suntan lotion. She also said that “people don’t respect the pool”. As you can see from these photos, it’s definitely not suntan lotion. Management needs to spend time at the pool to see exactly what’s going gone. Young kids are basically running the pool and they are not well trainedl.

We had a beautiful wedding at the Wave! Facilities were gorgeous, staff was great and bridal party and guests loved it! Although the weather did not allow for an outdoor ceremony, the glass walls of the “ballroom “ allowed us to have an amazing view of the Atlantic! Would strongly recommend as an ideal venue for a NJ shore wedding.

Beautiful hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are modern and clean. Location is awesome, right on the boardwalk, beautiful beach, next to Pier Village. October is a quiet, but peaceful time to be there. Couldn't ask for more.

A family, friendly location with lots of choices in restaurants and activities. The hotel itself is very expensive and the restaurants around the area are very expensive but overall it’s beautiful clean and we had a great weekend.

Unfortunately, my stay coincided with a storm so we didn’t get to enjoy the beach. However, for a luxury hotel, it did not feel very luxurious. There were cracked tiles in the lobby, parking was $55 and there was even tax on top of that - that was a ridiculous fee on top of an already expensive stay. The website implies a large gym but it was a very small gym with a very limited number of machines. The staff was courteous but I didn’t feel like anyone went out of their way. I asked for water and was told it would be brought to my room and it never came. Overall, the experience was fine but for the price of this hotel, I expected much more than ‘fine’.

The hotel is a great location and the rooms are excellent and clean. We had a balcony overlooking the ocean, stunning. The service was mediocre and we had to take the luggage to our rooms ourselves. They didn’t have a breakfast on premises other than bagels, which seems silly to me. They recommend a breakfast place that took over and hour wait. Sometimes there was no one at the front desk.
Housekeeping was nice but unprofessional. There was no do not disturb signs in the room and housekeeping knocked loudly at 9am. We asked them to come later. After 2 reminders directly with the staff, someone came at 4:15. Small things overall but I expected better. I’d probably stay at a more full service hotel next time.
