If you want to stay outside of the busyness of the walled town of Lucca, the villa is a great destination. The extensive remodel of the villa was done perfectly… the beautiful painted frescos on the walls, the furniture, the lovely gardens and pool….attention to detail in every corner! Easier if you have a car for it is about 10+ minute drive to town, or easy to take a taxi. It is a family run business who take pride in their operation. Barbara, Gunther and family were wonderful hosts. The accommodations are perfect, comfortable beds with nice soft linens, nice showers and towels, ample space in rooms with desk and sitting area and amazing breakfast served daily on the peaceful patio. It was the perfect place for us to unwind during a busy stay in Italy. I give it 5 stars!

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautifully restored villa. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. The entire property is spotless and well maintained. The pool was a highlight of our stay, well-kept with bar service and the perfect place to unwind after exploring. The family run hospitality sets this villa apart. They were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. Definitely check with Barbara for meal recommendations, these were our best meals! She even booked our reservations for us. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort and genuine hospitality, this villa is absolutely perfect. We would love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Beautiful hotel, Beautiful location and run by a beautiful family Had a lovely 4 night break this week to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Lavender room which had a view over the pretty garden and pool. Lovely large room with high ceilings, windows and very well equipped with tea, coffee, fridge, kettle, hairdryer, toiletries (even hair straighteners !) The shower was excellent and the bed comfortable with lovely white linen. The location is about 10 mins outside of Lucca city walls. We had a hire car and would drive in the day and hotel would arrange a taxi for us to enjoy Lucca by night. We visited Pisa, Florence, Forte de Marmi and Viareggio in the hire car and found Villa La Preziosa the perfect base to do this. Breakfast was delicious. Full range of buffet continental breakfast was served in the prettiest of rooms. We ate outside in the garden when the weather was good. Hot breakfast served too, such as omelettes. Barbara recommended a couple of restaurants for the evening and both were excellent. Julian recommended taking the park and ride tram near Florence to visit the city. Again a good suggestion. My only regret is to have left early in the morning and not being able to say goodbye and thank you personally and properly. So thank you once again for a wonderful stay in a very special place. You were the perfect hosts.

Arriving at the gates of the fully restored villa along a small country road near Lucca is a little daunting. Once the electric gates open however there was Julien, son of the owners, to greet us. We had a welcome drink whilst Julien took the luggage to our room. This villa has been fabulously and meticulously restored and retains its character whilst now having many mod cons. The drive into Lucca is simple. The family cook up a wonderful breakfast and help with the luggage on departure.

Holiday with my two teenage daughter, we loved it and were made so welcome and to feel part of their family. From our arrival to our departure we were given guidance and help when needed and nothing was too much trouble, I would highly recommend.

from the moment we arrived we found a beautiful garden and we were welcomed with a good Rosè Wine as though we were family. the owners and their hospitality were wonderful and very accommodating, also helpful with good reccomandations where to eat and what to do… We used this hotel as ideal location for day trips to Florence, Siena, Pisa and Cinque Terre. Lucca is closed only 5 minuts by car or 10 minuts by bike. Thanks again to the owners and we will definitely come back!

This family-run hotel is a gem. Rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished. The included breakfast buffet was outstanding! Cocktails on the patio and by the pool were a daily delight. Julian made sure every aspect of our stay was outstanding. His suggestion of a visit to the nearby Villa Reale on our way back to Florence was a highlight of ur trip. Highly recommended!
