HÔTEL & Spa Panorama 360

Couldn’t fault the hotel room, parking facility or staff. All first class. The bedding was excellent too, BUT, we were booked in on a Sunday as part of our journey through France and down to Mallorca. After 7 hours of driving we were ready for a nice meal but only to be told there was no restaurant in the hotel. The only facility was the 360 bar who served Tapas. (Not what we had in mind). We decided to look around the town in search of a brasseria or pizzeria, but they were all closed. So we had no choice and ended up in the rooftop bar which was quite impressive in itself. As the weather wasn’t in our favour to sit in the open air area we went inside but we were freezing. (A pet hate of mine). The staff were very good particularly the boys and very attentive. The choice of food was limiting, either a charcuterie or mozzarella sticks, fries or a green salad. As my husband is a vegetarian none of these choices were appealing however we ordered the charcuterie and salad thinking he could have the cheese and I could have the meat. The bread that arrived with it was stale and inedible, when I asked if it was fresh the waitress said it was, but nothing like lovely French bread that I’m familiar with. I never want to see cold meats again although several different meats it was just so one dimensional. We won’t choose to stay at this hotel again and will definitely be looking for a hotel with an open restaurant on a Sunday.

The hotel is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The Sky Bar is a wonderful place to spend an evening with good food and nice wine. Next time, I would definitely request a room at the front of the hotel, as the parking and unloading area at the back gets noisy very first thing with deliveries and bin lorries and we were woken up both days.

The hotel is a beautiful restoration of the old Post Office, with its highlight being the rooftop Skybar and its panoramic views of the city. Rooms are comfortable, staff very friendly and breakfast all you could ask for. It is located right in the heart of town and close to the river, so plenty to enjoy.

We had a good time here. All in all the hotell was great. And at the price excellent. We tried the Spa and Skybar - and we enjoyed both. Easy access to the best restaurants in town and train stations.
