Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa

We had an incredible time at Beachcomber Shandrani. Every detail was perfect — from the warm welcome to the outstanding service throughout our stay. The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was both relaxing and luxurious. A special thank-you to Ved and the amazing team for making us feel truly cared for. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

The holiday you've been dreaming of! When you see the pictures of Mauritius in brochures at your travel agent, this is the exact view you are greeted with at Shandrani Beachcomber. Upon arrival you are greeted by the most friendly staff who are organized and ready to make check-in seamless. You are handed a cool towel and a refreshing drink whereafter the formalities of check-in are completed. The resort is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful, it's like a postcard you see only on TV. We stayed in a Superior Room which was very large with beautiful furnishings. The mini bar stocked to your delight with yummy goodies (restocked daily). The restaurants are a sight to behold, food to satisfy every taste bud! Something for everyone and options beyond your wildest dreams. The pool area was our absolute favourite, the sheer size of the pool and the view tells you, you are on holiday in paradise. The facilities and activities offered are more than enough for everyone aged 1-99 years old. This resort is massive and we enjoyed walking around and taking in the sounds and sights of the sea, beach and people. The food, the drinks, the staff, the facilities, the on site shop what more could a person want or need!?! The absolute best holiday I have ever had, I cannot explain enough the beauty of this paradise resort.

Beach lovers paradise, everyone so kind & friendly . We loved the complimentary Glass bottom boat trip , different restaurants offering great food & service. Nanda our room valet would leave little flowers around our room .

Great location. Due to the three options of beaches it never feels overcrowded. Food is of good quality. The sporting facilities and gym is very good. Just a pity the sport desk cannot stay open longer than 19;15 - it would have been nice considering the daytime heat. The upgrade of resort definitely better

We had a warm welcome at this beautiful hotel. Overlooking the beach from many parts of the hotel turned it into a sparkling blue paradise. The layout of the accommodation and restaurants was good with not too much walking except for one particular restaurant but the constant availability of small transport vehicles made it so easy. The extra restaurants were superb but the main buffet restaurant was a disappointment as the food was not very hot and the whole thing was a bit of a bunfight so we avoided it and plumped for waiter service which was excellent Nanda dealt with our suite and it was immaculate every day. He always found time during the day to have a little chat with us and the only day he didn’t see us due to an all day excursion, he was quite concerned. We would be happy to return to this hotel again should the occasion arise.

It was a great getaway, the rooms we stayed in were newly renovated. View was good. Staff were friendly and helpful especially the chefs and the restaurant staff. Nothing was a problem! Whatever you wanted could be organised. Reception- and Bar staff, however super friendly and helpful, sometimes didn’t get what you enquired about- so patience is required. Make sure you speak slowly😂 As a getaway to recharge the batteries it was enjoyable BUT there are things that are lacking for the amount of money you spend to come here. 1. Marine park - there is some reasonable snorkelling offered as there is an abundance of fish but due to the hot water most of the coral is dead or broken. It’s best to take a private boat trip out to Isle aux Cerfs but that comes at an extra cost of approx Rs13000 for a half day trip. Skiing, kayaking, SUP-ing offered, is great and the small private beach next to the Suites as well as the beach next to the Le Sirius restaurant is great for snorkelling and swimming. Preferred that to the snorkelling excursion offered. The major issue for us and many other people we spoke to was the lack of vibe( as we Saffers say;gees) in the evenings. Make no mistake, the standard of the musicians was great however at the main entertainment venue where everyone would go to watch the shows, the music was slow and ballad oriented. Topclass musicianship but totally BORING repertoire. One vibey blues type band during the whole week - most of the other acts sat on barstools whilst performing. Requests were Taken however there was no attempt to get a vibe going. The brief was obviously to provide a more ambient or back ground type of vibe. The DJ would come on after the shows at around 10:30 and place some vibey tunes but by then most people would have left. Purple bar was overall more enjoyable as it was a smaller venue and some of the artists interacted with the patrons. Unfortunately, due to it being next to the chalets it had to be of an unplugged nature. Great out-door experiences, nice beachs to chill out on however the island style vibey atmosphere is missing. Will we go back, not sure!
