Dreams Estrella del Mar Mazatlán Golf & Spa Resort

Location and Environment: The resort is described as beautiful and well-maintained, with stunning ocean views and clean pools. Its proximity to the airport and serene atmosphere make it a convenient and relaxing choice for vacationers.

We travelled as a couple to this resort somewhat last minute. Looking at the prices now, we booked for a great deal. Most everything about this resort is amazing with just a minor concern or two. Suite 3707 - Beautiful, well appointed. Great views of the ocean. Bed was comfy, Mini fridge always stocked. Only concern would be the housekeeping. Two days of our stay our room was not cleaned at all. One of those days I heard her out in the hallway chatting with her co-workers with no urgency to clean when it was already after 4pm. I asked for a few things and she provided. When she did 'clean', the mirrors and countertop/sinks were visibly still dirty. I provided feedback in the App Survey and all the other days our bathroom was thoroughly cleaned. OH, if you're looking for the hair dryer, it's not in the bathroom. It's in a basket in the closet, under the safe.... Food - Probably the best we've ever had at a resort. No reservations needed for any of the A la Cartes. We typically go for dinner after 7pm and there was never a wait. We ate at the Mexican twice, Italian, Oceana multiple times. Food was delicious. One night they had a beach party that had more of a bar/pub variety of food. Another night they had a Mexican Revolution Party and the food spread was out of this world. The buffet for breakfast and lunch had a great variety of food as well. Beach/Pools - We knew we weren't coming for the beach. While you can walk for miles in either direction, the water isn't really safe to get it. While a few people did test the waters, I wouldn't recommend it. The pools were cool and refreshing. Waterslides were FAST!!! Beware. The have padding around the bottom pool for a reason. Lazy river was a nice feature. There are always chairs available. No need to play that game unless you are super picky about where you sit. Pool Staff will bring you an umbrella if you ask. The prime area seemed to be along the Infinity pool facing the ocean. Those seats you may have to get up early for. There are cabanas for rent but the price is atrocious and there are Bali Beds for rent as well - we thought those were First Come First Serve, but we were wrong. Had to rent the Bali Beds. Excursions - There are not a lot of excursions that leave directly from the hotel as the resort is not close to town. Most excursions we could book through our Rep but we were responsible to get our own transportation to the meeting point. We did the Deer Island tour. We had to get our own transportation to El Cid Marina which cost 1200 pesos return payable on the return transfer back to the resort. The Rep will help you book what ever transportation you require. We would stay at this resort again without hesitation. We travel several times a year and this is one of the best resorts we've been to.

Book ahead breakfast ( even just fruit, coffee and a bagel ) through the app the night before, arrives on time!!! Use the secret box as well! You order pick up of your finished plates and leftovers through the app as well ensure you stay in chat when awaiting confirmation
