When my grown daughter and I waled into the lobby of the Grand Forest Metsovo, our collective breath was taken away. My daughter compared it to a resort she had stayed at in Bhutan, where the magical, misty mountains overwhelmed her on a past voyage. The staff was attractive, attentive, an kind. The rooms and beds were perfection. And the way the hotel rooms were built into the hillside was inspiring. Understanding access to them takes practice, however, walking through some exterior ocrridors and taking more than one elevator. Ask for someone to teach you or you'll get lost! I had a lovely massage and my daughter enjoyed a facial during our stay, the purpose of which was to be close to the Meteora monasteries. We accessed the hotel by rental car up a windy road, so I can't attest for it when snow and ice arrive. And even though we did have some inclement weather at the tail end of Septamber, it only made th experience more dramatic. I higly recommend this resort!

From the moment we arrived we were made to very special. We were met by Tellos (I hope this is the correct spelling) who carried our luggage to our rooms and gave us information on the hotel and also of the local area. Every time we saw him he was always smiling! The hotel reception with the fireplace and bar is so cool and we a few drinks in the evenings we were here. We also ate at the restaurant each day and the food is excellent. We had two rooms for a family of four and one had a mountain view which was absolutely amazing. We also used the hotel spa which was great. Overall one of the best places we have ever stayed in!

Our stay at the Grand Forest Hotel in Metsovo was great. The hotel is beautifully designed, modern yet full of warmth, perfectly complementing the natural surroundings. The burning fireplace at the lobby was so beautiful and kept us warm in the cold weather. Our room was incredibly spacious, and the view of the mountains from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. One of the highlights of our stay was the pool. We had a complimentary 30 minutes private appointment at the heated pool while overlooking the serene landscape. It was such a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. We also treated ourselves to a massage at their spa, and it was one of the most relaxing treatments we ever had—the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.

We had beautiful 8 days of escapism in the grand forest hotel. The hotel is designed magnificently from the entrance lobby via the dining room and spa all the way to the room. The forest view is great and it is visible at all rooms. the welcome was very warm, friendly and polite. We were lucky to be upgraded in the room and we've got complementary spa services. The dining was superb. Breakfast was very rich and tasteful. The dinner was a true gourmet quality with very special plates - I would like to specially mention the fish plates. Fabulous hotel, great area. Staff were super and Petros very helpful, kind and fun! 🤩 Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant staff so helpful! A shout out to Ioanna, who was so charming, knowledgeable, helpful and fun. And Popi who was also delightful. All were very cheery and proud of the hotel and region. We are once at lunchtime and also in the evening the food was excellent! Spa was lovely and massages with Evi great! Thank you, Grand Forest, we will be back! Yassas 🇬🇷😊

The grand Metsovo is possibly the most stunningly designed hotel my partner and I have stayed in. It was incredible just to escape the heat of the rest of Northern Greece. The junior suite was high standard and had a great terrace overlooking Metsovo. The staff were friendly and very helpful, giving us advice on things to do in the area, though sometimes the hotel felt a little bit too formal for us. The inventive cocktails and snacks in the lobby were a highlight. The pool has one of the best views of any hotel, but the outdoor and indoor pool water really needs a little more heating. It also feels strange to charge more to use the hamam, which is not comparable to other hotels.
