The ensuite onsen was really nice, open air and stone surface (see picture). They have a few non-local staff who were very attentive and helpful, ready to help you even from the moment you drive into the carpark. Food was decent.

Best in-room outdoor onsen you can find. Hotel room has a living area and bed area, it's not that big but no one cares when you have a nice outdoor onsen built by rocks. Food is decent too and service is very good.

We have a good experience in this Onsen hotel. A lady greeted us at the entrance and she served us very well in the dinner. The private outdoor onsen gave us an enjoyable experience. Moreover, she share many information with us, and she could explain clearly how we prepare to visit Mountain Ah So on next day, so that we finally could visit the cracker no 1. I highly recommended this hotel to anyone visit Minamiaso.

We are a couple from Australia and I only speak a little Japanese. This was a truly AMAZING experience! The staff were so kind and friendly, giving us assistance was no issue for them. The location is stunning, the private onsen was glorious and the dinners and breakfasts were bigger than we could possibly eat (and we love our food). The price point for this experience was so good - fantastic value for money. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a little adventure in the heart of countryside Japan. If you get the chance to also visit Minamiaso (they will take you there at no extra charge) for the day, grab some e-bikes and have a ride around- take in the beautiful scenery and wonderful food options.
