Hewing Hotel

This is about the rooftop lounge not the hotel property itself. Cool scene in the North Loop area with excellent views and cocktails.

I’ve probably stayed here 10 times and have reviewed most of my prior stays on TA. Two nights here on business. The first room I was assigned had no desk so I was graciously moved to a second floor room directly above the lobby. I was concerned about noise from street and lobby but no issues and great sleep as always here. I was glad to read in recent reviews the hotel is undertaking renovations in 2026 because the hotel is showing its age, especially the hallway carpets. Please consider moving your gym upstairs to daylight when you renovate. Staff was kind and helpful as always. But the Hewing is starting to exceed its value proposition. This is not a $450 per night per basic room kind of place. The Four Seasons can get away with that pricing in MSP but not the Hewing. Add the OUTRAGEOUS valet parking charge of $58 per day plus tax and my two night stay exceeded $1,050 for only room and parking. May take a year or two off from the Hewing and see where we are after the refresh.

Heran and Rasheda welcomed us at the check in counter and were so welcoming and informative. They helped us navigate our evening and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Rooms were beautiful and the rooftop bar and hot tub were incredible! Will be back.

Great stayaction in the cities - slept like a baby, the room was very well appointed and loved the nordic vibes and exposed brick. The hotel is a hot spot on the weekends but on Sunday and Monday it was pretty chill.

We were in Minneapolis for 3 nights to celebrate our son's wedding on Saturday 10/18. HIGHLY recommend! Great employees! Great vibe!
