As a child growing up in Nashville, I’d lovingly gaze out of my parents’ car windows, driving past the iconic Union Station on a trip downtown. I thought it was the most beautiful building I’d ever seen. Fast forward 40+ years, I’m booking a hotel room on a return to my hometown to attend a childhood friend’s surprise birthday party. I was so excited to finally walk inside the gorgeous lobby and spend three nights there as a guest with my SoCal boyfriend on his first visit to Music City. Having learned that freight trains still travel through the station, I requested a quieter room on the opposite side of the hotel so we could get some sleep. The young woman at the front desk gave us a room over the tracks with a “view,” she said, which we visited with luggage in tow, making a U-turn back to the front desk to request the room that I asked for in the first place. Another agent was able to give us a room on the 5th floor which was what we had originally wanted. Not a great start after traveling all day from California, arriving late afternoon, hot and tired and in need of rest. The 5th floor king room was nice with an 18’ ceiling and large windows looking out over Broadway and the train tracks. We could see the trains traveling north and south, but only heard the rumble of the engines below us, which was fine. The room was on the smaller side, with no place to put our luggage and no chair to sit in. You could only sit on the bed. The bathroom was very nice and modern, with a lighted makeup mirror and upscale toiletries. That evening, while wandering around near the hotel, we discovered the Red Phone Booth speakeasy, which requires a secret number to be dialed into a rotary phone in order to access the private bar. We called the hotel for the number, and the front desk wanted us to come back to the hotel for them to give us the number. My boyfriend protested, asking for the front desk to give us the number over the phone as we were guests there (we had just checked in with the same agent about 3 hours prior), giving him his name and our room number so he could verify it. He reluctantly gave us the number and we were finally able to dial it and enter the speakeasy through a secret door, where we drank some very nice whiskey while relaxing on gorgeous leather sofas. The next day, we forgot to ask for Housekeeping service (should we have to do this when we are paying $650+ a night?), so our room was not cleaned when we returned to the hotel around 3:15 pm, after an all-day trip to historic Franklin and Leiper’s Fork. We called the front desk and requested Housekeeping, and a sullen housekeeper came in about 15 minutes. My boyfriend asked her how long she needed, as we were going to the lobby to wait, and she rudely said, “Huh?” to him. He politely repeated himself, and she said about 10 minutes. When we returned to the room, the wastebaskets were not emptied; there was still a coffee cup ring on boyfriend’s bedside table; we were n

This property will be on my top 10 list worldwide in terms of hotel-building-experiences (relative to my 1000+ nights in 40+ countries). Very impressive renovation of the property. I arrived on 1 May 2025 in late afternoon and was met be a very friendly and efficient valet parking person. Then, the gentleman in the reception recognized my Lifetime Platinum, and I was assigned to an excellent room with good view and very high ceiling (5 meter?). The breakfast venue is equally impressive. High ceilings/huge windows. I liked the location of the property, since it’s an easy 10 min stroll from the “party-zone” further down the street.

This is an amazing hotel in the center of Nashville. The whole property is beautiful and has original details from the old train station it's built within. Our room was clean, comfortable and super spacious. The lobby was also a great place to hangout and get some work done. It was our first time in Nashville and we easily walked to explore The Gultch, Music Row and Broadway all weekend. They have live music in the lobby and the bar has a great selection of cocktails and snack to enjoy before you head out to broadway. We order room service for breakfast and had dinner at Stationary one night which was delish. Will definitely be back!

A hotel stay is about warm hospitality and comfort. The front desk is the first impression and Aman impressed. With his kind smile and attentive attitude, he checked us in quickly and was well informed about things a first time visitor would want to know. The lobby (if you can call it that) is gorgeous. Sprinkled with a couple of games like tick tak toe and shuffle board you’d think I was describing a neighborhood bar but obviously not the case at this elevated hotel. The games added warmth to this massive and stunning lobby. Parking was the only thing I would comment on that was not pleasant. Valet was WONDERFUL. I just didn’t do my research/reading on parking in that area. I spend over $100 to public self park. I should have valeted! Our room on the 4th floor was a corner room with views of the valet area and back parking lot. Not charming yet the room was so elegant with the floor to ceiling curtains, espresso maker, massive modern mirror and all the other refined polishes to the room that I hardly noticed the lack of an actual view. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. We had a drink at the Car Bar and dined at Stationary on Nov 29, 2025 - both located inside the hotel. What delightful service at Stationary. I didn’t get our servers names but he was excellent. We were sat at the resturant immediately upon opening, so thank you to the service!

Worst hotel ever. Second floor rooms smell like kitchen. Then moved us to room with air vent blowing on top of our heads on bed. A disaster of a front desk. Hotel stayer beware

The valets and bell hops were amazing. The check on Friday was a bit long of a wait and quite an annoyance. We had to request maintenance to clear out the drain in our bathroom as the shower held water. The hotel was very cool. This hotel is not cheap. It is definitely a luxury level hotel. For this level of hotel I expected the maintenance to be much better. We should not have needed to request our drain be unclogged. We also should not be waiting 15+ minutes to check in. The rates for our stay were well above $650/night for a standard king.

We didn't stay at the hotel, we went to see Rare Magic. It was amazing. We never have seen anything like it. Drew Murray is an incredible magician and performer. We spent a long time trying to figure out how he accomplished what he did and we are stumped. We still are in awe of the great show. It definitely is something worth seeing. It is in a small and intimate space so everyone can easily see the show. We also had dinner at Stationairy before the show. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere is nice.
