2 night stay at midpoint of our Deep South music trail road trip . Beautiful mansion and mostly wonderful staff which contrasted with exceptionally nasty wait staff in the breakfast room . Could not figure the reason as Nichelle gets great reviews from other travellers . We noticed she was more attentive to American guests and not only reluctant to engage but downright rude towards us on two consecutive mornings . That said Mike was wonderful as the first person we met and he also did the house tour , the other staff we met were polite and we met some lovely guests

We agree with most of the previous review in that the staff, especially Nichelle and George, were absolutely fantastic The dinner and breakfast was delicious. The property is tired and lacks basic maintenance however we hope this doesn’t stop people visiting what is actually a beautiful Antebellum house and setting.

Property in dire need of renovation. Staff friendly, but in no way is this a 'luxury' experience.

Great service and great fishing The establishment was clean but aged. The tub in our suite was cracked straight down. The sinks were older and the shower door was definitely dated. The service was great. The food at the restaurant for dinner was exquisite. The grounds were wonderful as my son enjoyed daily bass fishing on the grounds. I wish the rooms were equipped with a mini fridge because once the front desk closed at 9, you couldn’t even get ice. Therefore, I went to Walmart the next morning and purchased a cooler and ice to keep water and tea in the room.

historical property that was beautiful. Staff was superior and the restaurant was elegant with very good menu. We could have just stayed on the property and had a good time.

The property is lovely. The rooms are also very cute, but clearly need some attention. Peeling wallpaper, stained carpets, and furntiure that needs a good deep clean

This stay was a good one. I loved getting to tour the grounds and hear about the history of the inn. My only hangups about the inn were the previously used shampoo and conditioner in the room for the toiletries and the mild smell of mold in the bedroom. The staff were great!

My significant other planned this trip for my birthday and it was perfect. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. We enjoyed the tour .very much and it was quite informative. Our room was lovely. Definitely more than I expected. I would recommend a stay here to anyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Natchez.

My stay at Monmouth It was amazing, we want to go back the only thing I make sure next time is to get a lower level, I had my mom with me and she cant climb stairs, it was really hard for her the up and down the stairs, I was also charged to my room for a dinner that we did not consume, but immediately got credit. Excellent stay, excellent crew, best breakfast and had a great time.
