Great location, hotel is right on the beach & is a short walking distance to Nessebar old town! The staff is excellent and the food selection at the buffet is varied, flavourful and plentiful!  The facilities are very old, furniture in the rooms is dated and in dire need for an upgrade. Rooms are very basic they lack proper lighting and electrical plugs especially by the night tables.  Sun loungers are very uncomfortable and the umbrellas are small so they barely protect you from the sun.  Our stay was enjoyable overall, mainly thanks to the staff and the excellent location of the hotel

We enjoyed a week’s stay here during the first week of the UK’s summer holiday. It was really quiet. Sun loungers were always available both by the pool and on the beach. The outdoor pool is small but lovely. It’s well maintained. The first few days we struggled to get in because it was really cold, we did get used to it though! The indoor pool was deeper and overlooked the sea. We had a family room overlooking the beach. The room was really big and the beds comfortable. The balcony was quite small but did come with a clothes maiden for drying clothes which was ideal, bring some pegs though as it can get a bit windy at times! The only downside to the balcony was that the aircon unit ran on to the floor so it was always wet! The restaurant area was really lovely, it was always clean and set up well. There is the option to sit outside looking out over the beach which was nice, the only downside was that there is no designated smoking area so quite often you could be sat as a family eating and someone would start smoking on the table next to you which is never pleasant! The restaurant really needs a new playlist! It was so miserable We did mention it and it did change on occasion but it was things like my heart will go on etc and it was on repeat every meal time. The restaurant staff were really lovely, although one of the women behind the bar could have smiled more. The other staff sang, smiled and were always on hand to help. The food was very varied from day to day but always had a pasta and sauce bar, chips, something on the grill (chicken, kebabs, sausages etc), there was a huge salad selection, lots of breads, a variety of desserts, cured meats and cheeses, ice cream counter and then a variety of hot meals. Breakfast was our favourite! The snack bar outside served really tasty pizza along with hot dogs and chips. There are no self serve drinks other than water, everything is to be ordered at the bars. The animation team were really great, especially Venko. They spoke various languages and were great with children. Water polo and water gymnastics was always fun! The evening entertainment was always around the pool which seemed a strange set up when there was an animation stage on the rooftop. The hotel location, in our opinion, was perfect. It was around a 10 minute walk to New Nessebar (turn right out of the hotel, left at the mini roundabout, right at the end of the street, left at the roundabout) which we visit a few nights. It’s a street closed off to cars and is full of your usual touristy shops. We visited Old Nessebar a few evenings, it’s about a 20 minute walk and is a really beautiful place and worth visiting. Old cobbled streets, street musicians etc. We visited a man made cafe bar whilst there called Michael’s Eco Bar. A quirky little place with turtles! The fish pedicure was great too! When walking to Old Nessebar, if you like cats be sure to take the ramp up through the trees and if you call them loads come runni

Currently staying here from 12th to 22nd for 10 days. Room/suite is massive and def can't complain and has a great sea view. Weather early season so far has been a bit hit and miss but kind of expect that. The food is good, I can only say good as its typical all inclusive stuff and definately not exceptional. Nice stroll down to old nessebar is lovely and a typical old town as you'd expect really. But I still 2 lev each which some reviews were saying 5 years ago so no inflation there. But.....and only a small but....some people say its really cheap??? Take off the really, its ok but only on par with home and someone said 3 course meal for 2 people is £40! Show.me where please as is double that but on hol it's the usual . May update after the full 10 days here

On arrival hotel looked clean and reception staff friendly. More information would have been nice on arrival, especially needing tickets for towels, which we found out from a very rude life guide. No need for such rudeness. Room was very good. Very clean and spacious and reasonably maintained, although if you want a better hairdryer, take your own. Sunbeds, very uncomfortable. Pool bar ok. Young lady in evening was brilliant and one of the more friendly members of staff. Restaurant. Staff clearing tables were excellent and always polite and friendly. Food, a lot of choice and well cooked, but cold. What a shame. The cleaner around the pool always seemed to be having rows with the lifeguard. Not professional at all. The lobby bar is an accident waiting to happen, due to having to step up to the bar and back down again, all the while contending with people sitting at the bar, making it more awkward. Get rid of the bar stools. The lobby bar would certainly benefit with more seating away from the sports tv which was on every evening. Lastly pool area was very dangerous. Saw several people slip/fall over down steps. Wouldn't recommend this hotel, due to grumpy staff and cold food, which is a shame, as it is a good location.

We booked this 8 day break late in the season and to be honest our expectations were not that high. Well done MPM Arsena, warm reception on arrival and very helpful. Hotel was lovely and clean, they were even cleaning outside in the rain. Our room was cleaned daily by Tina (Tuna) and what a credit to the hotel she is, despite the obvious language barrier she was so warm and helpful. Never been big fans of all inclusive but this was so much better than expected, some of the dishes were so good we were willing them to be repeated. There was something for everyone at every mealtime, always fresh and vibrant and a mention to Ryan, Gia and Marina, three wonderful waiting staff that always had a smile and were on hand to help. Big shout out to Ryan, telling us how to get to Bourgas, had a great day shopping. It was the end of the season and we were still getting 100% effort from everyone, despite the weather. A big thank you to everyone and we can't wait to return in the summer. We are lucky enough to have several holidays a year and I can say, this was probably the best for quite some time.

The good: Clean, helpful housekeeping staff. Vigilant staff on the restaurant floor who work very hard and were a credit to the hotel. The bad: Cold, bland food, even at the start of service. Unpalatable drinks, syrupy cocktails, unrecognisable mixers. The Ugly: Parents getting drunk while their Young Kids ran amok through reception and communal areas. Rude, obnoxious adults too busy getting drunk and shrieking and singing at the top of their voices with no consideration of others while the hotel staff do nothing to take control or address
