The location is perfect , few minutes walk to the French quarter, close to great restaurants in the business district. The building is nice. Our room was a premium room, it was large enough with a good bathroom. The service was ok but not excellent.
Overall we had a great time but not sure we would return again.

Our experience was perfect! The hotel has personal touches worth noting, a fun hidden speak easy next door, dinner recommendations was a 10/10, the front desk staff was super friendly, the bathroom and bedding felt like home and the tummy coffee delivered to our doorstep was my favorite.

TLDR; The staff, especially Byron and Thaddeus, were extremely professional and friendly. Byron was also able to recall my stay and resolve a billing issue in seconds nearly two weeks after my stay. Thaddeus was extremely knowledgeable of the local area and was a great conversationalist with excellent recommendations while executing his job flawlessly during breakfast service. The rooms and décor are beautiful, and the pictures DO NOT do this place justice. The service is great with fresh cookies at night, free wine and charcuterie in the afternoon, an Honor bar system ($10 per cocktail!), and a secret entrance to a boutique cocktail bar. Long review: As an avid traveler having stayed in many luxury or boutique hotels/properties in the US and across Europe, I've never felt as compelled to write a review for a hotel as I have now. Not only is the property as beautiful and luxurious as somewhere like any Ritz or Four Seasons, the service and staff, specifically Byron and Thaddeus, are exceptional. Check in - At first, as a major city dweller, the hotel seems unassuming with its Haussmannian style architecture. The entrance is locked which is confusing at first, but speaks to the privacy of the hotel. With only 5 floors with about 12 rooms on each floor, the doors stay locked to ensure only hotel guests have access. There's an intercom system with which the staff buzzes you in for initial check-in, and the hotel parking restriction in front of the building makes it extremely easy to just pull over and get out without having to worry about finding street parking (note: if you're not valet parking, you will probably have to move your car after checking in). We were greeted by Byron for check-in, and were provided a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room as part of our 'The Edit' benefit through Chase Sapphire Reserve. Byron was extremely professional, but also very friendly and genuine. This was a breath of fresh air from the usual level of affectation that most luxury hotel staff afford to a guest's feeling of self importance. Byron was also very knowledgeable about the property and the benefits afforded with the Chase partner program, and explained everything very clearly. The Rooms - The rooms in this hotel are BEAUTIFUL. Tons of natural light with blackout curtains, TALL ceilings, extremely comfortable beds and bedding, gorgeous furniture and decor, and an absolutely life-goals bathroom with a separate tub and shower. Compared to most brand-name luxury hotels, this feels a lot brighter and a lot more homey. Services & Amenities - While the hotel does have access to a pool and fitness center, it is not in the building, but right across the street at the sister property. There is food service available 24/7, an attached secret door to a classy cocktail bar Salon Salon, and services provided in the lobby to include free wine and charcuterie, free fresh cookies, and an honor bar system which is $10 per cocktail. Valet parking is available for $5

Such a wonderful hotel to introduce me to New Orleans. This was my first trip to NOLA, and I'm glad I chose this hotel. It has a lot of character and charm, a great location, and very helpful staff. The location is five or ten minutes' walk from Canal Street and Bourbon, and it's right on the streetcar line. So the location can't be beat. I walked to the World War II Museum (which everyone coming to New Orleans should see--it's a mindblower). NOTE: the only note of caution I'd state is that the streetcar passes right under the hotel, so if you're a light sleeper, you might want to request a high floor and/or bring earplugs. But I travel with earplugs, and I had no problem sleeping. The staff here were wonderful. They give you the feeling that instead of having been trained by some slick, strict conglomerate, they're just all naturally kind people. Hantoine and everyone else were really great. The comfort of the room was fantastic. The bedroom was so comfortable and plush that I had to spur myself so that I didn't spend my whole vacation in it. I'll be very happy to stay at Maison Metier again!

This hotel is a gem! From the beautiful architecture and decorations to the 10/10 personalized service…you will not regret a stay here. The food and drinks were delicious, our room was well appointed and comfortable, the amenities were plentiful…from the wine and charcuterie every evening to the late night oatmeal cookies…little touches all around to make our stay unique and memorable. We loved the private speakeasy and breakfast room. Room service was amazing. But in the end it was the attentive and caring staff that made the difference for us. We were welcomed by Antoine with a little tour, Mike hooked us up with hard to get reservations, Dante and Megan made us killer drinks and Thaddeus helped us in the mornings with breakfast. 10/10 recommend. ❤️❤️❤️

I stayed here in 2019 when it was Maison de la Luz and this is one my favorite hotels of all time. It was designed by Studio Shamshiri with beautiful artwork and design. I came back to NOLA for a business trip and decided to stay here again, Thank you especially to Anthoine and Darren for your gracious hospitality and care. The property is still gorgeous and the rooms are impeccable but the people who welcome you to stay are what makes this place so special. Thank you, Anthoine!

It was such a beautiful hotel, and the staff were amazing. The cookies at night were divine! I stay at many hotels through the year for personal trips, as well as over 130 days a year for work, and this was one of the best experiences and properties in a long time. The bed was so very comfortable that we slept well every night.
