Exceptional hotel in the middle of hell. Ya, you heard me!! Bourbon & Canal Street’s are chaotic busy, proliferated with drug attics, filthy & unsafe. The Ritz offers an oasis of safety & sanity after a day of taking in NOLA. Clean, dual floor elevators to gain room access with key required. Exceedingly professional staff and wonderfully kept property. Obviously well managed. Great room service with exceptional food quality. Steaks were perfect and still sizzling hot upon arrival. Davenport Lounge is THE place to be for the finest jazz. Comfortable and fun!! Beautiful open atrium so you can enjoy an evening outside without tolerating the chaos unfolding on Canal Street after dark. Fabulous spa!! Valet as wonderful and friendly. It’s my humbled opinion this is the only respectable place to stay in NOLA. Rooms are spacious & spotless. I’m obviously not a NOLA fan but I really do love this hotel. It’s quite lovely.

We booked a 4 night stay at the RC New Orleans. We were dropped off at the taxi stand on Canal Street in front of the hotel. No one from the hotel was standing at the entrance door. We didn’t realize we could have been dropped off at a different entrance and had to drag our bags to the second entrance. After telling the front desk about this, someone was always standing at the Canal Street entrance for the remainder of our stay. Pros The staff here is fantastic. The executive suite is very comfortable with a view of the courtyard. The Jeremy Davenport lounge. What talented musicians. A highlight of this property Cons Location. Canal Street is pretty seedy if you want to walk around. Water pressure in shower. Disappointing. The Club lounge Great staff Beautiful rooms The breakfast buffet food was sitting out too long for us to feel good eating there. Our reservation included breakfast in the dining room where they had an omelette station. We had a great breakfast there every morning Canapés in the club lounge were good some nights, not good other nights. Pelligrino was only offered on Friday and Saturday nights. Wine options and mixed drinks were available every night. The desserts on Saturday night were perfection. Room service food was good. Dining room food and service were fair.

Sinful for what they charge for this hotel. The entire hotel needs a makeover. Up charge for everything and definitely not worth it. Rooms smell bad hallways were dirty & one day we didnt even house keeping service.

The staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to make every part of my stay perfect. Every area of the hotel exudes class and elegance, from the beautifully designed lobby to the relaxing common areas. My room was remarkably clean and well-appointed, offering both comfort and luxury. Every amenity felt thoughtfully curated, and I truly appreciated how spotless everything was. The staff was attentive in every area of the hotel, including the gym, where they ensured guests had everything they needed for a great workout. Dining at the hotel restaurant was an unforgettable experience. The food was phenomenal—each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The wait staff provided outstanding service, and the light jazz music playing in the background added a charming New Orleans touch that made the meal even more enjoyable. Even the valet parking service was exceptional. The associates were prompt, courteous, and incredibly efficient with both drop-off and pick-up. This is, without a doubt, the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans sets the gold standard for hospitality, elegance, and comfort. I can’t wait to return!
