The Frederick Hotel Tribeca

Hotel is priding itself in being the oldest continuous operating hotel in the city. It is at a nice place and easily accessible by various trains, including PATH and A/E trains from the airports. Service is ok for New York. Some rooms are not easily accessible and the walkways feel a bit tiny. Breakfast is pretty standard and has to be paid through a so called facility fee.

This is a nice boutique hotel with a gym equipped with a Paleton. It has a nice bar. Its breakfast was good with a variety of food options. It is very close to the SoHo area. Lots of restaurants nearby.

I loved my experience there at this hotel. The staff works around the clock. Every single person was happy to help me with whatever I need. The room was so clean. Not a single speck of dirt. I wish I would have planned a later flight back home so I could stay longer and leave right at their check out time. It's the perfect location and i like that the outside look doesn't draw too much attention.

The Frederick is a renovated historic boutique hotel conveniently located right next to the Chambers St.station. We had a couple minor issues on check in , a misunderstanding about room type availability, and we were not offered the breakfast vouchers, only after I doublechecked with another staffer did we receive them. Our room was fine- small, dark but comfortable, with a little work desk and a few drawers, located at the end in the back of the hotel, so it was not noisy at all. We did have issues with the AC climate control two nights- the thermostat went offline so there was no fan or ability to control room temperature . I had to open the windows on both nights. Mostly the positives of our stay outweighed any annoyances . The breakfast buffet at Serafinas was very good, I enjoyed their rooftop bar as well. The complimentary wine and jazz one night was very pleasant too. This is such a great downtown location, and I would stay here again, depending on rates and room availabilities. To avoid surprises I would suggest booking the largest room you can afford ,understand in advance that this is an older hotel with narrow hallways and mostly smaller, dark rooms, and also be aware that the hotel charges an extra $35/nt fee ( gym, wine night, breakfast) as well as an additional $300 hold on your card.

Front desk staff was great Elijah, Syed and Miracle and others! - very helpful - great champagne and oranges. Nice peaceful rooms for sleeping.
