Netanya Noosa Beachfront Resort

Fantastic staff and best location we have ever stayed at. We will be back. Could not praise the staff anymore. We had a late departure and were made to feel welcome and could use the pool and facilities after our check out. This meant we could enjoy the Sunday.

We have stayed at Netanya more times than we can remember and this October was to be no exception. We booked in February, paid the deposit and the full amount for two suites on 3 September 2025 for eight nights from 19 October. However, on 21 September we were notified by email that one suite was now unavailable and the second suite could be disturbed by noise during the day. Of course, we were rather annoyed because two weeks prior they had taken the full amount without warning us of any issues. We were offered cancelling the second suite without penalty - rather funny really! We have luckily secured for ourselves, last minute accommodation at La Mer with I must add, no help from the management at Netanya. I have written to the Director/Manager but very disappointingly no response. I realise that renovations can be delayed however the lack of professionalism from such a luxury business is mind boggling. I would have thought a phone call might have been a better course of action, apology given and a kist of alternatives offered.

Rubbish experience at this hotel Sept 2025. They don’t reply me on their feedback channels so here we go. - $1000 per night room gets me a balcony view of public toilets. While you can’t change where a building is surely the nightly rate for a view this bad should have adjustment. - the room stank of sewerage 80% of the time which maintenance barely assisted with. Spraying an overwhelming spray in a room doesn’t fix sewerage issues. - even their coffee shop on site screws up orders. I paid $75 for 4 roasted cheese and 4 regular hot chocolate. And they made the toasties on the wrong bread. Like come on. - there was blood left on the floor of level 1 for multiple hours and blood on one of the apartment doors under renovation just left there. Surely you can do better than this. - in my brief time here we had two strangers approach us within the hotel pool area. How are they getting in and out without key cards. Great stuff! So thank you for this rip off experience. You can only fall back on your great location for so long while charging exorbitant rates

The main reason we booked this hotel was its inclusion in Amex’s Hotel Collection. Although the location was perfectly beachfront, there were some disappointing amenities and experiences that should have more transparency and flexibility. It was almost 9pm when we arrived and ended up driving up the hill into the residences as the signage is easy to miss and driving on one way streets on the opposite side was the most daunting task of our trip. When the front desk emailed the day before prior to arrival, it indicated that our 2 bedroom apt (originally booked as a Hasting) was a “beachfront apartment”. Considering it was low season right after the cyclone passed and we checked in on a Tuesday, our hopes were high that the room upgrade was granted. Upon entering the apartment, it was clear that this was not the case. In the Amex letter describing the benefits, it furthermore listed that the amenities of the resort credit were already pre-determined: rental/use of the cabana and wooden games, 4 coffee vouchers for up to 5 AUD, a netanya hat and beach bag. These offerings don’t seem commensurate to the typical $100 USD resort credit offered at other locations. We would have appreciated an alternative as it was raining during our 2 night stay and option for food/beverage credit instead of merchandise. Beach towels and extra blankets and pillows were plentiful in the cabinets however the bath towels were not. The following morning, we noticed that the housekeeping carts were essentially locked cages of towels; bit bizarre as there were more beach towels than bath towels. We did appreciate the late checkout which was one of the Amex benefits.

The room was in dire need of refurbishing. Cracked tiles, poor shower, awful bed which sagged in the middle, terrible sofa bed as only couch really uncomfortable. For the money (over $1000,00 per night) it was terrible value. It was cold at night and the heating didn’t work but on the plus side the reception staff, in fact all the staff were excellent,the location was excellent and the view and pool were excellent. If we had being charged half the money you would put up with average but not at that price.

Avoid this place, rude staff and incompetent reservations and a overbooking system which left us stranded We called ahead to confirm our booking, and the hotel assured us it was set. We paid in full and traveled expecting to check in without issue. At the last minute, we were told they had overbooked and our reservation was cancelled. No alternative arrangements, no compensation, and no real apology. This last-minute cancellation caused significant expense and inconvenience. Very disappointed, and would strongly caution others to double-check before booking here.
