Masseria Ayroldi

My family and I spent one week at the Masseria Ayroldi in Ostuni, Puglie. An 18th century estate recently renovated into a spacious, elegant resort in the heart of the Puglie region of Italy. The property is surrounded by a wall that was designed at the time to fend off brigands. Today, it gives the place an air of secluded elegance that makes it really special. 19 rooms all different from one another, all finely appointed: you will surely appreciate that modern buildings do not hold a candle to 3 centuries of history and culture. As I said, the place is beautiful but what makes it your home away from home is the care with which Debora and her family take care of their guests. ‘Pamper’ is actually a better word. You start the day with an amazing breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs, focaccia and a varying collection of home-made cakes and tarts, as well as a wide selection of cookies and pastries. Fresh fruit and vegetables from their garden. Cappuccino and espresso flow liberally as well as a battery of fresh fruit juices. If you choose to hang around for lunch, typical Puglia delicacies can be had under the pergola by an amazing pool. Check out the pictures. A great place to spend time in the afternoon. Dinner is a culinary experience, with a curated menu accompanied by a high quality wine list of local production. Every day, Debora and her team went out of the way to accommodate our family’s various allergies and dietary requirements. The term ‘hospitality’ takes a new meaning at Masseria Ayroldi. We had the most amazing time! The staff was so accommodating to all of the woman we hosted on our yoga retreat. It was the perfect place to unwind, do yoga, study self love and visit the beautiful region! Thank you to Debra and the entire staff for making all 24 of us feel at home and cared for. Just magical. Staff were friendly and helpful. Grounds are stunning. Food was simply amazing. Room was very comfortable and we absolutely loved the breakfast.

Lovely rooms and well designed areas to relax and enjoy the immaculate grounds. The artisan dishes and delicious breakfast buffet were truly exceptional, and the attention to detail in the renovation of this working masseria left us deeply impressed. Every corner shows craftsmanship and love. The familie owned and operated Masseria is a great example of attention to hospitality. The location is ideal as well: perfect for day trips to Ostuni, the sea, and the beautiful surrounding villages. Whether you come for a romantic getaway, a family reunion, the perfect wedding location, this place is simply lovely. A true gem under the Italian sun –we’ll be back and highly recommended! ✨

I don’t think I’ve stayed anywhere better! The property is insanely gorgeous, the food was incredible, and just the loveliest people work there. There is plenty of room to hang out spread across the property. Staying here was a highlight of my trip and hope to come back one day! The rooms were super clean and spacious and they welcome you with a treat and have a print out that includes the whole backstory on the property which makes it even more enchanting. Bathroom was also super nice and included the standard items, which is always a plus. A must stay if you’re in the area!
