Our family stayed at The Aiyana for 8 nights, and it was one of the most moving and memorable holidays we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were not treated as guests, but as part of a family. Every single team member – from reception to housekeeping, the spa ladies, kitchen and bar staff – showed such honesty, warmth, and genuine care that it touched us deeply. This is not a place where you ever feel like a customer. The people here truly care about your happiness. On our last day, the sailing captain even took my son out free of charge, just so he could have a fun adventure – an act of kindness we will never forget. They also made my wife’s birthday absolutely unforgettable with a beautiful surprise celebration that left her speechless. These moments are priceless, and they are what set The Aiyana apart. The resort itself is breathtaking – ultimate luxury set in paradise, with peace, beauty, and plenty of personalised activities if you want them. But what makes this place truly magical is the people. A very special mention goes to Mr. Ashok, the owner, who personally ensures that every single guest is looked after with care and attention. His presence, humility, and leadership shine through in the incredible team he has built. We leave with full hearts and memories for a lifetime. If you are looking for more than just a luxury holiday – if you are looking for a place where you are treated with love, care, and sincerity – then The Aiyana is paradise found.

We were so happy to find the amazing Aiyana. Zanzibar island doesn’t stand a chance from what Pemba has to offer. Starting from the amazing structures, architecture, decoration, how every room looks absolutely different, specious, the gardens, the pool, every single detail is well-thought. The staff were super friendly and took care of any of our requests at any time of the day / night. We are so grateful to Mr Ashok, Owen, Abed and Max for their warm hospitality. We found more than just a hotel, we found a new home on another continent. Thank you for everything

Out of the world. The best example of barefoot luxury. A remote location, the startlingly clear waters, a beach of powdery sand to yourself. Aiyana offers this plus a hundred other things. The villas all are enormous, with the best beds, all the other things you would expect from a premium hotel - this in a fashion that is so laid back, you could just marvel. The staff are all truly excellent, laughing and joking and ever willing to do whatever you needed. The food is superb and well presented. And to enjoy that are the many spots where it is Served. The impressive restaurant, the cozy bar corner or somewhere in your private garden. Aiyana should go immediately on your bucket list. Thank you, everyone of the Aiyana family. Asante Sana.

The Aiyana exceeded expectations! the room was lovely, the food was excellent (if you like fresh fish and juices) and the staff was incredibly attentive. Own in particular was charming and accommodating - highly appreciated! Snorkeling here is great and we will definitely be back some day.

I had the pleasure of staying at Aiyana and it exceeded my expectations, it was a surprise for our four children. It was my best experience, we really enjoyed. The location is breathtaking, with pristine beaches, the villas are spacious, private and beautifully designed, perfectly blending comfort and natural elegance. The bathrooms superb and my girl spent a lot of time there. The swimming pool was great for our boys who would spend most of their time there after breakfast. Me and my husband we got a relaxing massage from the spar. Just to share few things about the place without forgetting about dinners by the beach was highlighting of our stay. We enjoyed fresh, flavorful meals showcasing both local and international cuisine.

In a word … palatial. It’s no exaggeration to say that our 5 night experience was outstanding. The ambience is completely relaxed in what is literally an unspoilt tropical paradise. The hotel design incorporates nature into the architecture. Every aspect, both large scale and detailed has been imaginatively and innovatively thought through. Unlike some hotels where design is a substitute for substance, the Aiyana functions well. Our villa’s terrace with sea view, entrance hall, lounge, huge bedroom, even bigger bath/shower room plus an outdoor shower were all tastefully furnished. The large bed was oh so comfortable. There is a small price to pay for the remote location in that the WiFi needs an in-room router to be reliable and the satellite tv reception is unstable. The tranquil, long, white sand beach is pristine, backed by palms with guests well spaced apart (no rush to reserve a beach umbrella here). The only significant negative factor about the Aiyana is that the pool is ornamental, better for a dip rather than a swim. This is a pity because at anything much less than high tide the warm, clean sea is pretty much inaccessible because of the extensive exposed sharp coral rocks. So near and yet so far from the sea. In any case, bring rubber sea shoes! All the staff were ever helpful, the food was good although not outstanding. Finally our special thanks to Abeid who was hugely supportive, patient and went above and beyond when we needed assistance.

We recently stayed at this 5-star property and were impressed by its natural setting and warm hospitality. The location is a rare find — an island that hasn’t been overrun by mass tourism, offering peace, space, and a beach so pristine it feels untouched. The staff deserve special mention. Almost entirely local, they are genuinely friendly, eager to learn, and quick to help. Their service recovery is good — any issues we raised were addressed promptly and professionally. To add, the owner of the hotel even greeted the guests personally. That said, the hotel itself is starting to show signs of age. Some areas would benefit from a refresh, and brighter lighting in both the rooms and the grounds would enhance comfort and ambience. The charm of the place is still there, but a thoughtful spruce-up could take it from very good to truly exceptional. Overall, this is a wonderful choice for travelers seeking tranquillity, natural beauty, and heartfelt service.

We stayed for 2 nights at this stunning property. The gardens, villas, and every inch of it is beautiful, located on a ***** of pristine beach with crystal clear turquoise waters. The rooms are super spacious and comfortable, and the food is very good. They hosted a beach dinner with live musicians and a bonfire where everyone, including the staff, danced and sang. The place has warm and beautiful vibes. The staff is very friendly, and the owner is on the premises and cares deeply about his guests and their experiences. We had a couple of issues (no wi-fi, no hot water) which the team tried to remedy, unsuccessfully. Upon checking out, the owner made reparations and was sincerely apologetic. Had that not been the case, my review would've been far different because for the price of the room, the basics should function properly. All that said, it is a magical place and I would go back :-)
