Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette

This hotel tried to sneak some unauthorized charges on to my credit card. I am on my third call now to try and resolve this. They agree that the charges were improper but I am wasting lots of time to resolve this. I am extremely unhappy with this hotel

I have never seen a worse person at the check-in desk in any hotel anywhere. This is based on my two interactions on different days and what I witnessed with two other guests. It wasn’t even like she seemed upset or was having a bad day, she just treated the guests like they were an inconvenience to her for checking in. I don’t remember her name, she was a black lady with braided hair if I remember right. The A/C wasn’t working and when I told her, she acted like they were aware of it and it was somebody else’s problem not hers. I asked if it was a hotel wide problem and if there was a maintenance person working on it because I was leaving for the day and I hoped it could be repaired while I was gone. It wasn’t. But when I checked with the night shift front desk person he was completely unaware of the problem. He had not heard of any issues in the hotel. He kindly did the right thing by moving us to a better room. He was a white guy, maybe eastern European with a ponytail I think. He was good at his job. The final complaint was parking at the public parking ramp that is also used by hotel. The gate was apparently broken so no one coming and going that parked there had to pay, except for hotel guests. They were sure to charge us. I was expecting to pay and honest about parking there, but it rubs me wrong that they insisted on it when there was no need to use a room card to come and go while others came and went without a problem.

I travel for my job and have stayed in many hotels in every state. This was was my first visit to the Pere Marquette. The hotel looks great, it's clean and the rooms modern. I had access to the concierge lounge and the hosts there were very friendly and accommodating. The staff at the front desk were friendly, engaging and fun. This will be the only place I'll stay in Peoria. Highly recommend.

Very nice property. Hard to find parking for check in, then $15 to park in garage. Close to riverfront festival.

Neat building history, nice bar, restaurant. The Pos. The Neg. Public parking ramp behind hotel which you could park for free , said charged 15 by hotel a 50 dollar charge was on my bill, waiting for rest to drop off!
