Pałac Pakoszów Schlosshotel Wernersdorf

Our stay at Pałac Pakoszów was overall a pleasant experience, with several highlights that made it memorable. The property itself is a beautifully restored palace set in a peaceful, quiet location surrounded by extensive grounds – perfect for long walks and relaxation. The hotel is pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us, and the staff we encountered were consistently kind and welcoming. The culinary offering is impressive: the breakfast selection is rich, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared, while the on-site restaurant delivers excellent cuisine worthy of the hotel’s five-star status. That said, prices at the restaurant are somewhat higher than what one would expect compared to other fine dining establishments in the region, which makes the experience feel a little overpriced despite the quality. The swimming pool and wellness facilities are well-maintained and enjoyable, making it easy to unwind. Guests who appreciate tranquility, space, and a calm atmosphere will find this hotel ideal. That being said, there are serious management issues that unfortunately prevent the hotel from living up fully to its potential. Housekeeping quality was inconsistent – on some days rooms were cleaned properly, while on others towels were missing, sometimes no cleaning was done at all, and complimentary water was not replenished. For a five-star establishment, such irregularity is disappointing. Another challenge is communication: very few staff members speak English (and even German is limited), which makes addressing guest needs difficult. While the staff themselves are kind and try their best, this points to a deeper management problem where training and international standards are not prioritized. It is clear that the ownership and leadership do not focus enough on these essential areas, which undermines the otherwise wonderful qualities of the property. Additional positives worth mentioning include the elegant historic interiors, spacious and comfortable rooms, and the overall charm of staying in a place with such cultural heritage. The location is also convenient for exploring the Jelenia Góra valley and the surrounding Karkonosze mountains, making it an excellent base for both relaxation and sightseeing. In summary: Pałac Pakoszów is a unique and beautiful hotel with great food, friendly staff, and a serene atmosphere, but it falls short of true five-star standards due to management oversights in housekeeping consistency and language accessibility. The restaurant is excellent but slightly overpriced compared to similar fine dining in the region. With more professional attention to these areas, the hotel could easily become one of the finest luxury stays in Lower Silesia.

This was our first time at this hotel. I booked 10 nights! The breakfast was great... varied and plentiful... the internet in the room worked for 3 days... I told reception and they said they would look into it... unfortunately nobody cared and we had no internet for the rest of the days... on day 5 we had brown water in the bathroom... from all the taps and also in the toilet! I told reception straight away and they told me it was normal and not harmful... did I really want to bathe or shower in brown water? No... here too they didn't care... my conclusion... absolutely not justified for 5 stars... the management doesn't see the problems! And one more thing... in the morning for breakfast, before you go into the breakfast room, the staff sit at the table... with their cell phones in their hands and on private calls... that's not appropriate for a 5 star hotel either... unfortunately we won't be coming back!!!!!!!

The location is absolutely stunning. One of the nicest and most relax-full place I have ever visited. The ponds on the hotel property are well kept, you can walk on the bank, sit on a bench and watch a sunset - this all gives you a breathtaking moments. The complete hotel is equipped with Villeroy and Boch porcelain. For animal lovers, it is really a pet-friendly hotel. Service room on a very high level. There is also an outside climbing frame for kids = but in the area, where the kids can play and still do not bother other guest with any screaming - very well-though-trough concept! For e-cars, there is a charging station available at the parking lot. We were a bit unlucky with our stay because of some technical issues, however, the fair approach of the hotel staff compensate any possible dissatisfaction. There are 2 things which did not meet my expectations = that doesn't mean it was bad, this is just one personal opinion: 1. I personally expected a bit wider breakfast buffet - from warm dishes, there were only eggs and sausage variations available. The cold option were much broader - from micro greens and local products to "standard continental breakfast stuff". So you are not definitely hungry after, but... 2. Beds - the quality of mattress and beds are high (from the producers point of view), however, for us they were too soft. We prefer firm mattresses. And they were "moveable"...so it is not a standard double bed, but 2 single beds.

Excellent stay. Truly like living in a castle!!

the hotel has nothing to do with 5 * ( maybe price.. for 200 euros per night you can get a room without cleaning, instead of one large bed, 2 small beds joined together, breakfast without hot food, sauna not working .In fact, there are real 5-star hotels nearby with a standard adequate to the price...

Convenient atmosphere. We have spend a peaceful period during the years. The activities were well organized. A good mixture of national and international guests is the hallmark of Pakoszow and will guarantee the atmosphere in the Palac.
