Hotel is located within a residential estate away from all activities. The rooms are average, cement flooring with inconsistent wifi. The rooms are not well insulated as you can hear all activity in the passages. Breakfast is good however dinner very mediocre with very expensive prices for what you get, not much variety and definitely not in line with a 5 star hotel. Service is ok although inconsistent. NOT WORTH THE MONEY PAID.

Our recent stay at your hotel was, unfortunately, extremely average — especially considering the high price point. To begin with, the hotel is located within a residential complex. While the exterior has a luxurious appearance, the interior tells a different story. The rooms, although tastefully decorated, have bare concrete floors throughout, which significantly detracts from the overall ambiance and feels more budget than boutique. There were several issues that impacted our stay: Inconsistent and unreliable WiFi — a basic expectation at any modern hotel, let alone a 5-star establishment. No minibars in the rooms — something we would certainly expect at this level. Inconsistent service — while some staff were friendly, the reception team could be more polite and professional in their interactions. When we raised concerns about the lack of attention to detail and what appeared to be understaffing, a team member informed us of a recent retrenchment process and changes in management. While we sympathize, this is not something paying guests should have to hear — it does not justify sub-par service, particularly in a market with many other high-end boutique hotels offering far better experiences. The dining experience was particularly disappointing. The menu was overpriced, and the food quality was more in line with a 2-star establishment. There are several far better dining options in Plettenberg Bay that offer both quality and value. Additionally, the lack of room service and inconsistent kitchen closing times (e.g., 9 pm one day, different the next) added to the overall frustration — this is the first time we’ve encountered such irregularity at a supposed 5-star hotel. In summary, the hotel did not meet expectations on several fronts — facilities, service, and especially dining. Unfortunately, we would not recommend it, especially with so many truly exceptional alternatives in the area.

This was a favourite stay of ours but sadly the hotel has lowered it's standards. Staff changes and the lack of attention to details that made ones stay has given competitors an edge. A mini bar which now has nothing but water for a so-called 5 star establishment is sad. The tired menu which is nothing to write home about also needs a revamp. Staff are irate & overworked. A new general manager who has restructured to the detriment of the hotel Won't come back unless I know it has reverted to the formula that worked

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was out of this world! The cocktails were also very good.

We stayed here for one night while driving the Garden Route, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel was simply beautiful and easily one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Knowing it was our honeymoon, the staff went above and beyond by upgrading us to an incredible room, which we truly appreciated. The bar was another highlight of our stay. We spent a few relaxing hours there, chatting and connecting with other guests, which added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Plettenberg Bay!

Awesome service, great food and wine, stunning views! Great place to take overseas visitors! Neat and v clean! Great for Sundowners and a platter and then move in and have a delicious dinner! Our waiter Blessing was outstanding!! The manager was also extremely friendly and helpful!! Great asset to Plett!!!
