We have just returned home from our 6th stay at the hotel. As usual, everything was perfect! We love this hotel and always return as everyone is so friendly. The staff are amazing, the hotel is beautiful and everything is very well appointed. The suites are spacious and spotlessly clean. The food and drinks at the restaurants and bars are excellent. Every single staff member we met was amazing, reception, pool staff, restaurant staff, maintenance staff were all super friendly . We feel like we are welcomed into the hotel as family . We will definitely be back. Special thanks to Mar from the breakfast restaurant for looking after us so well each morning . X

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. We went with two other friends as couples to celebrate a 50th birthday. I just can not rate it highly enough. The rooms are so spacious, immaculately clean, so much wardrobe and drawer space. Air-con was fabulous, although it was October we needed it when we came back to our room late afternoon. The staff were all so happy, polite and really couldn't do enough for you. Every member of staff acknowledged you, from the receptionists, cleaners, to pool and maintenance staff. You felt really special when you were there, we all loved it. We wished we'd booked longer but work commitments didn't allow that, unfortunately. However, my husband and I will definitely return next year for a week or more. In fact some other friends are looking to book next March just from out recommendation. Also, the Kentia Gourmet Club that was attached to the hotel was magnificent. The food was exceptional. The lovely wine Sommelier lady served us was wonderful, her knowledge of every wine we asked about was so useful. What we really liked was you didn't feel rushed, we had a lovely, leisurely evening meal in superb surroundings. Don't hesitate to book this hotel!!

Just back from another brilliant stay at La Isla y el mar. Lovely, friendly staff, beautiful large rooms and fab pool area. Stayed B & B, breakfast was lovely, with freshly cooked omelette or eggs on request. Mara on reception is absolutely lovely. 10 out of 10 for us and will defo be back xx

Beautiful apartment, clean, well maintained and exceptional breakfast in a lovely environment. Pool was extremely clean with very comfortable loungers. All staff very welcoming and professional throughout. One member of staff on reception ( Mari Carmen) was of the highest standard and should be commended for her standard of work. Maria always welcomed us with a smile and helped/solve any questions and beyond, certainly an ambassador for hotel La Isla Y El Mar Hotel Boutique. Things that could be improved: 1. Better management over sunbeds by the pool as holidaymakers obtaining beds early morning and not returning for many hours to the frustration of other holidaymakers. 2. Towels not always provided in the gym, not consistent. 3. Towels not left in apartment for showers on a couple of occasions. Generally a very memorable experience and would recommend albeit on top of a lengthy hill. Well done to the team on a great job and wishing you all every success in the future.. thank you.

Helpful & friendly staff who helped us through an issue: Aircon not working. Matteo in particular helped us move rooms and genuinely good ambassador for the hotel. Thanks, Matteo. 4 star only because of aircon issue and a couple of dinners disappointing though most good. In my view, true test of a star rating isn't having the issue but how quickly & willingly it is resolved. Choice of pillows very helpful for my back problems. Nicely appointed venue and breeze helped keep heat tolerable (great tans). Meet the staff event a great idea. Restaurant staff also lovely (sorry we didn't get to thank you all individually), especially the Italian lady. Lady on reception whose Mum is from Middlesbroughvery helpful (sorry I forgot your name) Would return after this, our first trip to Lanzarote.

What a stunning hotel from start to finish. The reception team were exceptional, always smiling, helpful and chatty (Mateo, Rens, Marek, Ximara, Sonno etc. all just perfect). First impressions always count and ours was excellent. Greeted with a warm smile and a glass of cold champagne. Breakfast was a selection of fresh fruits, freshly baked bread, smoothies and everything we wanted to start our day off with a positive vibe. The breakfast team also were also very helpful and friendly (especially Maria Salinas and the chef who prepared my boiled egg and avocado every day). Sam & Maria in the pool bar always very chatty, all of the cleaning and gardening staff were always so friendly. The gardens were beautifully maintained, the cocktail bar was very atmospheric and everything was simply relaxing. Our bed was very large and the room was rather dark with no view other than a grey stone wall, however it was immaculately clean and comfortable. I would have preferred more than one bottle of complimentary water per day (for a 5 star hotel). My one gripe, the British customers who insisted on putting their books and bags on the sunbeds to reserve their same daily spot. This is just ridiculous, but I appreciate staff do not want to upset clients, it is simply stupid for guests to be so possessive of where they sunbathe. The excellent staff made our holiday even better and we would definitely like to return again.

If you are planning a trip to Lanzarote you must check out this hotel. the staff are excellent and at all times friendly.The breakfast is great, a buffet style with a cooked main course if required and fantastic choice. The suites are amazing 3 indoor areas , sitting ,sleeping and a huge bathroom .There is also a large outdoor patio with chairs ,loungers and table. the pool area is large with plenty of loungers on different levels from a sun baked poolside to a more shaded upper area. The pool bar is excellent with a range of beers and spirits/cocktails and an extensive menu covering snacks to a full cooked main lunch. The pool is not olympic size for swimming but perfectly adequate for a cooling dip. One tip,full board is probably not the best option. If you are able to get about either walking or a short inexpensive taxi ride{ 3 euor appx} there are plenty of eateries to suit all tastes and budgets nearby.I say this because the main evening meal in the hotel is buffet style with a limited and weekly revolving cooked main, we tried it and preffered the wider choices nearby. All in all the hotel made the holiday for us and I cannot find one point below 4.5 stars for the facilities or service

I will give an honest review as there are great bits but also some small bits that could be improved …… Amazing and welcome staff from the beginning, everyone was so friendly and we got a welcome champagne on arrival and departure. Breakfast was amazing, couldn’t fault the Choice and cooked options. Cava available too. Room immaculate however, beds very hard, my husband liked this I did not so much. The hairdryer I would change to an on off switch as trying ti told it in with long hair is exhausting. We stayed in a suite deluxe and the views were unreal, jacuzzi amazing. Sun loungers need updated as very sore on the back and ripped in some places. The night we arrived we had ants on our balcony, we called reception and was sorted immediately. Pool area is lovely and very relaxed. Have stayed in maybe 5 star hotels all over And also boutique hotels and this one is at the top! There is always going to be wee things here and there but the good outweighs the small niggles. Would return for sure.
