Excellence El Carmen - Adults Only - All Inclusive

5/5! Went here for 7 nights with my wife on our honeymoon, we're more of an introverted pair and still felt quite comfortable here, the staff here were super friendly and welcoming. Room: We stayed in an Excellence Club Junior Suite (Garden View) and really enjoyed our room. We really enjoyed the bathroom area despite it being relatively open. The rainfall shower and jacuzzi were excellent. Our room was stocked with a full mini fridge and 3 bottles of rum, vodka, and tequila. We were in building 10 and were relatively close to the restaurants and bars. The beach was a bit of a walk but the resort is walkable so it wasn't a big deal. Food: The food was good but nothing too extraordinary. Some standout restaurants were Basmati, Magna and the Aroma Cafe for the coffee and gelato. Would highly suggest the Excellence Club for the Tomahawk Steaks alone. We'd also frequent the Food Shark truck, which was great for late night snacks. Drinks: The drinks were great overall, mostly very sweet and fruity. For regular drinks I'd suggest heading to the Excellence Club lounge and getting drinks from Eloy or down to Stars. Beach/Pool: The beach was great most days, there are vendors that come by every now and then but it wasn't a big deal. Sargassum was usually being cleared quite regularly and there's no concern of having to fight for lounge chairs. Entertainment: There's usually always live music somewhere, pool events, or other activities scheduled. Keep an eye on what's on the app! The nightly themed shows were great as well. If you have the opportunity during the mid-day, I'd highly recommend doing the art activities with Yari. She's a great host and it's a good opportunity to do some arts and crafts with your partner and create some memorable souvenirs to take home with you. We made bracelets, water-dipped caps, and did a painting class. Keep an eye on these because they fill up fast! Overall, I'd definitely come back or visit another Excellence location. :)

We had a great time playing beach volleyball, enjoying the pool! And all the fun activities like the Dominican show as well as Karaoke night!! Can’t forget the dance lessons!! All thanks to the amazing entertainment team!! The coffee at the coffee shop aroma is sooo good!! Special shout out to miskeyla!!

Having a joyous and wonderful time. Especially with family and Kelia. She helps with directions and makes us laugh a lot.
