Charmillion Gardens Aquapark

Beautiful hotel . Staff are absolutely brilliant . So much to do and cheap prices for days out . Excellent service and great choice of restaurants

Perfect stay. Very tasty food, people around are very kind. Rooms are clean and staff is very helpful. There is bonus with large screens with football games. Really recommending. I wish to back in near future.

We returned from Charmillion Gardens earlier this week. We would give this 3.5 if half marks were an option. We were a family of 6 (ages 9-70) with two family pool view rooms. We did meet people who reported upset stomachs but we were all fine. It was very hot so the pools were always welcomed. The Good:- -Large spacious rooms kept very clean by Muhammed. -Having the gold wrist bands was good to have more options of bars and restaurants. -Good choice of food including fresh options. The buffet at Sea View was much calmer and we stuck with this. -Teppanyaki and Lebanese/grill were both enjoyable. -Aqua Park - good choice of slides. Kids really enjoyed it. -Plenty of sunbeds. -Grounds well kept and clean, staff work very hard. -The hotel provided a cake for one of our groups birthdays which was a nice touch. -The hotel is not far from Nabq or Soho Square. We visited both for meals out but preferred Nabq. The not so good:- -Booking for the teppanyaki is an ordeal, we were lucky to get booked (thanks to one of the staff on reception) -The water park is open 10-5 and closes between 12-2. These hours could be extended. -The buffet in the gardens section was chaotic. Not enough space and pushing in from other guests. -Only paid for ice cream options during the day. -Wine is only available at dinner. The white is just about drinkable but the red is terrible. There is no sparking wine. -Gym - whilst small but well equipped and very clean it does not open until 9am which is late in our opinion. -Some staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful whereas some seem annoyed if you ask for anything by and disturb their chat. -Draft beer would often be unavailable and then staff would resort to cans which were not always cold. One member of staff at a bar we went to did not understand that the cans could be poured into a glass and not charged for which meant a walk back up to the large bar for drinks and for them to make a call. It was resolved but unnecessary. -Soft drinks are generally poured from the bottle so are not always cold or fizzy. -other guests. Not the hotels fault but often the Egyptians staying are quite rude in terms of queuing for anything and also helping themselves to others belongings around the pool, for example pool toys, floats etc. We saw more than once other holiday makers having to challenge this behaviour and get their property back. -The evening entertainment is not great. Daytime entertainment could be better promoted. We had a lovely holiday. The hotel and service are not 5* but based on the reviews we read before arriving we were not expecting this. We would not rush back but if there was a good deal we would consider Charmillion again.

I liked all the slides, the wave pool and the staff is nice and they share a very good energy, also the beach is great, and the food is delicious.

Overall the hotel and food was great. Slides were excellent and not an issue they were closed 12-1400. Room was a nice size with balcony and nice view of the pool. Lots of choice of food at the 2 buffets we had access to and nice to be able to book other places too. You can only book those a day ahead and some get fully booked so book the teppanyaki restaurant early (tip, you can book just after midnight for the following day). Staff were friendly and accommodating (but less so in the receptions). Two areas to improve. 1) Please find an alternative to throw away plastic cups at the pool bars that are ridiculously small. Serving ~150ml beers was frustrating lots of guests, see my pic. Larger washable plastic cups at the pools would be better and mean the staff serve less often and you don’t throw away tonnes of plastic. 2) Far too much pressure to buy the extra activities (spa, buggy trips etc). Each pool trip involved being asked 10+ times from various reps. It gets annoying and they don’t take no for an answer. Policy should be to ask once and accept guests declining or don’t ask at all.

Excellent stay at the Charmillion Gardens Aqua Park. The staff here are excellent and very friendly. I would like to mention some staff members Maha in guest relations is excellent. She is a credit to the hotel and goes out of her way to help guests have an enjoyable stay. Rashad in the sea life restaurant. What can I say about him. Again he is a credit to the hotel and when we visited the restaurant he always made us feel welcome. Was quick to supply us with drinks was always rushing about the restaurant attending to all guests. He always had time for my children who loved him. Abdo in the spa who I had 5 massages from excellent and very professional. Oscar (spa) very friendly and always took time to say hello to me and my family. Hassam (tepenyaki chef) we had 2 excellent meals there. Excellent friendly chef Kimo (animation) very friendly and took time to talk to me and my family every time he saw us. Another credit to the hotel Mohammed (life guard at the water park) he especially took time out for my little boy Finn. Very friendly person. I could probably go on and could mention many more. The food is typical all inclusive but we always found something to eat and the quality was good. Rooms were big and well equipped even though slightly dated. Aqua park is a real bonus great fun. Lastly I would like to thank Mr Emil Sobhy front office manager. Excellent Customer service from him and Overall I would recommend this hotel to families of all ages
