This was our 4th stay here and as always, we were looked after and fed in the most delightful manner. A calm and understated level of quiet comfort pertains throughout. The rooms are a joy; quiet, comfortable, spacious and always clean. The staff are without exception; skilled, helpful, pleasant and friendly. We hope to go again in 2026.

Longueville Manor, one of the nicest hotels I have ever been fortunate enough to stay. Beautiful surroundings, elegant and stylish decor throughout. The staff match the hotel in every way, efficient, helpful and eager to make their guests stay memorable. Why then 4 out of 5 stars- a complaint, not full addressed, over a crab sandwich that made me rather ill one night. On the date of my arrival I ordered a crab sandwich for lunch, having only had some muesli for breakfast in the morning but by six o clock I was violently sick. My wife personally informed the front desk who said they would take a note of the incident. The next morning I was feeling a lot better so when I took the remains of the sandwiches to reception I told the gentleman on the desk that it could only have been the crab that had caused the illness, however not wanting to have this spoil our stay I told him that I didn’t intend to take the matter any further. No apology or message asking how I felt was forthcoming but I went on to have a lovely three-night break. So it came as a bit of a shock when I checked out that I had been charged for the offending sandwich with again no apology. Jersey is such a lovely island and the Longueville Manor is really a grand place to stay, I thoroughly recommend it, just don’t have the crab sandwiches. I had spent the week working in Jersey so we decided to extend my stay and my Wife to join me for a long weekend. We thought Longueville Manor would be ideal, supposedly one of the best hotels on the Island, how disappointed we were! The room was dated smelt musky and just lacked being 5 star, a plastic kettle for example. The bed was uncomfortable and we asked for the mattress to be changed, it was to a slightly better one but far from the quality and comfort you would expect. We ate there on the first night, it was a rushed affair, the staff were not trained to the level expected with a desire to rush everything even after we requested a break, we were all done by 8.30, not bad when we sat down at 7.30! The wine cellar is extremely impressive but certainly not matched by the restaurant’s level of service. Breakfast was worse sending back my porridge numerous times as they seemed to think it should be served like a soup! Despite the 5 star price they still charged us for breakfast as we dared to book through a booking agent. This place needs investment in both the rooms and the training of its staff if it wants to be 5 star. During our 3 night stay we didn’t see anyone from management despite complaining about the bed, extraordinary. My Wife received a weak email from them after our stay, prompted by us telling the receptionist how our stay had been, we shared the above with him. The garden and pool area are lovely and the only person who really went the extra mile was Brian on the front door. Bravo, the rest could learn a lot from him.

Chose this hotel for a special occasion, Golden Wedding Anniversary, and we were not disappointed. Superb rooms and facilities and great character. The staff in every area were more than helpful and always on hand to provide for your needs, including giving advise on food and beverages. In fact they became more like family and were very conversational. The food was outstanding and based on the hotel kitchen garden and locally sourced meats and of course freshly caught seafood. A fantastic wine cellar made my day.

Probably the best staff and service I have ever experienced are to be found here. They are extremely polite and helpful. Many have been at the hotel for years which is a good indication of the excellent management. The hotel sparkles but is old style and not glitzy. The hotel has several sitting areas and two dining rooms. The food is excellent but when staying four nights one has to repeat some à la carte choices. More fish choices on the menu would be an idea but having tried most dishes I found all to be excellent. The chef has a large garden from where a lot of the menu ingredients are grown. Our room had an extended area with table, chairs and sofa which made for a decent sized room to occupy after a long day out. Outside there is a pool - warmish - and a large outside area where one can walk around the hotel’s woodland. It is hard to find a quibble about the hotel. There is plenty of private parking on the hotel grounds. A hire car is essential to get the best out of a stay on Jersey and very safe as the maximum speed limit is 40mph - mainly 20mph - and the local drivers are polite and considerate.

This was our third consecutive August coming here and it has fast become one of my favorite, and possibly my actual favorite, hotels in the world. It doesn’t overwhelm you with lavishness, but is rather quaint, stylish and sophisticated in a way that sneaks up on you. Don’t get me wrong: Everything here is very picturesque as you would expect an impressive manor to be. It is impossible not to relax just hanging around the pool on a hot day or inside one of their library rooms when it rains. It just doesn’t hit you over the head with it, even though you quickly realize why so many people on this wealthy island keep coming here for special dinners. The restaurant is superb, reminiscent of Michelin-rated dining rooms and with high quality food and service. And even after six nights here, all of them spent eating dinner in the dining room or the adjacent bar lounge, it doesn’t get old. The service throughout the hotel is very friendly and respectful and comes in many cases from staff who have spent years working here. That part makes a difference as well. I have yet to leave Longueville Manor without feeling relaxed and that’s a big reason we keep coming back to Jersey. It’s a great place to decompress and pamper yourself while visiting a fun island. Looking forward to our return trip.

Our stay at Longueville was outstanding in every respect. Even when the weather turned, the experience remained exceptional thanks to the dedicated team who consistently deliver five-star service. What sets Longueville apart is the personalized attention — staff anticipate needs with such thoughtfulness that every guest feels individually cared for. This was our third visit, and once again the property exceeded our expectations in every way. Longueville remains a true benchmark for service excellence, and we very much look forward to returning.
