Quinta Real Huatulco

Great location, welcoming, good vibes, can't ask for much more. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable, the plunge pool a nice treat. Loved the pool and the beach. Grounds were spectacular. Service was exceptional and staff very helpful. Helps to have a bit of Spanish, not a problem. Breakfast was excellent as were the lunches by the pool. Dinner menu failed to meet expectation, could use some improvement. Otherwise a great place to spend a relaxing vacation

Amazing adults only a paradise of calm, fine holidays. Beautiful views and service 5 stars hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and the food us very good and fine dinning. I5% discount offered to guest's any of the two restaurants. The beach is private and calm.

My husband and I stayed at Quinta Real for one week. It was quiet, relaxing, and had incredible views of the beach! The staff was excellent; thank you for your amazing service! The food was great but we found it overpriced compared to what you could find in the city. The hotel also needs updating and could do with more ventilation and painting touch-ups to revitalize it.

Our first room had a bad view. We never used our room amenities fully because we were surrounded by strewn garbage on the walk down to our private pool. Service was lacking, we waited long to get served at the restaurant, pool area, and to get towels/ chairs on the beach. At one point we couldn’t use the jalapas reserved for guests on the beach because some non- guests installed themselves and there was no staff to resolve this issue. Insufficient parking. Restaurant food is overpriced and bad quality. The hotel entrance is beautiful, and the beach access is nice, that’s about it.

Wife and I had a quiet 3 days at this property. Looks impressive up on the hill. Lots of stairs as everyone has mentioned. They will offer to drive you back up from the bottom if you don't want the exercise. Margaritas were done very well. Music at the pool is spotty. Beach is very nice. If you walk down to the other side of the bay, the water is even more calm for swimming. Our room was large, with a balcony and hammock. Never really used the balcony as it was just too hot. The staff was nice and always accommodating. You can tell that there has not been any significant work done to this hotel for quite some time. Lots of little things like peeling paint, cracked or broken cement/stucco, pool tiles missing, dead plants/trees. You would expect more from one of the area's top tier hotels. Food was average and probably 2X the cost as if you went to the town or the Quinta Bella to eat. The two restaurants are not always both open at the same time. If you want lunch, you need to walk down to the bottom/pool side restaurant. Breakfast and dinner is served at the top level restaurant. Not that big of a deal, but it is often 90 degrees and walking all the stairs to have a meal can leave you drenched. Overall, the area or hotel did not live up to our expectations. We would probably not return.
