High Mountain Resort Shangri-La

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon trip in Shangri-la and was totally satisfied and very memorable. The manager River was very helpful in assisting us with the itinerary and transportations throughout our stay in Shangrila. Our room also got upgraded thanks to River. The view from the room balcony was very beautiful.

Lovely place with nice view of the grassland. The hotel also helped to provide transfer to and from the train station as we have 5 pieces of large luggage. The hotel staff are friendly and assisted to chase the yaks away when they get too close at night. They also helped in arranging for transport booking as the hotel is in a scenic spot and quite far out of city. The hotel is quiet and very peaceful. Very suitable for getaway from the city life.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The views were incredible, the room large, and the staff, especially LIDA, were very helpful. Unfortunately, we got high altitude sickness as soon as we arrived to Shangri La. LIDA was very helpful in getting us the oxygen canisters that we needed and provided us an upgraded room with oxygen to make sure that we were ok. Even while we were away from the hotel, LIDA checked in with us to make sure we were ok and prepared our room to make sure we have a warm and oxygen filled room before we came back from the city. We also left our watch behind after we left and LIDA has been responsible and responsive for mailing us our watch back. We are very grateful for his help! Thank you!

The hotel faces Napa Sea and you see the vast grassland from your room. When it is summer time, the grassland becomes the “sea”, which should be nicer. The “hardware” of the hotel is very good, but what impressed me more is the “software” — service. Xiao He arranged free airport pick-up, and they came to pick my family of 5 up with 2 x 7-seater after I told them I had many pieces of luggage. They also prepared 2 canisters of oxygen in the car just in case we feel uncomfortable in the high altitude. During our stay, warm milk was provided at night and everyone was very friendly. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay for my family. Thank you!
