Got engaged here and stayed overnight... absolutely beautiful place and staff soooo friendly.. We ate in the beautiful restaurant and the food was gorgeous... The grounds were lovely to walk around

Went for Sunday lunch to celebrate my grandparents’ diamond wedding anniversary. Staff were very pleasant throughout our visit and went the extra mile to congratulate my grandparents and give us a warm welcome. The environment of the restaurant was breathtaking and extremely well maintained which was a credit to the hotel and restaurant and made our visit very special. The reason I have given my review 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the food, which was quite underwhelming. Service was great (if a little slow) however the tofu in my starter was not cooked properly and was underseasoned. My risotto just was very underwhelming for the price paid, it tasted like something I could have bought from the supermarket. My dessert was also very dry, and again something I felt I could have got better from the supermarket. Not a bad meal, but the quality of the food definitely did not reflect the high price and atmosphere of the hotel.

Was fortunate to attend the most incredible wedding at Hawkstone . It had been taken exclusively for the wedding party weekend and was simply out of this world both inside and out. It even has its own stunning chapel in the grounds for the ceremony . From the moment we arrived the staff could not have done more . A lovely receptionist even helped us to our room . Could not fault this experience, it’s truly dreamy .

What a wonderful place this is . From the stunning view you get approaching this beautiful hall , to the food , the staff , everything is perfect. We dined for Fathers Day lunch . On arrival, we were greeted promptly and taken to our table in opulent Saloon Restaurant. Drinks orders were taken quickly and the menu/specials explained. After an amuse-bouche , two of us had the prawn cocktail and two the chicken & pistachio terrine. All were perfectly presented and tasted lovely . For main we had both the beef and lamb dinners between us and again gorgeous. For pudding , we had the Bakewell tart and mango cheesecake. Again perfect. Throughout the meal the staff were attentive, polite and made sure we wanted for nothing. The set menu price was £38 and for what we received was incredible. It really is high end dining, in stunning surroundings, with fantastic staff . I don’t take to trip advisor, too often but Hawkstone Hall really does deserve all of the praise . We shall definitely be returning and recommending to all we speak to .

We were travelling the UK from New Zealand. Hawkstone Hall was the highlight of the accommodations we stayed at. Not only is it a beautiful building which has been wonderfully and sympathetically restored, but the staff were A1. The menu was excellent as was the food. I have already recommended Hawkstone to friends and family as a special treat destination.

My husband and myself were gifted an overnight stay with dinner from our son + daughter in law ( they married at this stunning venue/ hotel last year) we have returned to a couple of events with family since , we initially spoke to Angela who was absolutely wonderful + very approachable who couldn't of done more for us , nothing is too much trouble .On our arrival we were warmly greeted by Nadine , we enjoyed a lovely carol service performed by the male voice choir and spent the afternoon in front of the lovely log fire , before retiring to our stunning suite to relax and get ready for dinner which was delicious ! The staff are all fabulous , a few names we would like to mention are Lydia who served us dinner , such a lovely sociable young lady who was so good at her job , also a special mention Dominica who was our breakfast waitress , we couldn't of wished for a warmer welcome , (nothing was too much trouble ) finally special recognition to Lucy , so friendly + helpful and wonderful at her job , she genuinely is made for the role of which she carries out so well ! So finally , if you are contemplating making a reservation do not hesitate ! The hall and grounds are stunning , the service from the staff is first class , I'm sure my husband and myself will return again , so a huge thankyou to Angela + the whole team Kind regards Karen + Alec Newman

Well we are over from Australia and my sister and brother in law. Took us here for meal what a beautiful experience the service was excellent and food was amazing do yourselves a favour a go to this magnificent place the grounds are just beautiful the only downside we did not stay there

I had visited Hawkstone Hall for afternoon tea a couple of years ago and throughly enjoyed the experience. So I was very much looking forward to it this time. However it was not the same. I pre ordered the vegetarian version but I was very disappointed in what I had. The cream cheese and cucumber had very little cream cheese on it and I’m sorry but for the price paid, tomato and spinach for a sandwich filling is not luxury at anyone’s expense. The only sandwich filling I enjoyed was the beetroot one. Four finger sandwiches as well was not very filling. The cakes were nice, but in my opinion apart from the scones were not homemade. I will not be returning..
