Family Selection at Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

Great experience with our personal butler. Ana and Eric were amazing and helped us with all our needs. Anything we asked it got done in a timely manner they even went out of their way to make it happen when it was last minute request

We just spent a wonderful week at the Kantenah Family Selection in the Grand Palladium Resort. I can't praise it highly enough! Everything is first class, from the beachfront setting (If you are in Villa 40!), the amazing suites, the resort amenities, pools, restaurants, and the attentive service we received from each employee. We would especially like to commend our 2 concierges in Villa 40, Luis and Emmanuel, who took care of our restaurant reservations, scheduled our shuttle rides, and were always available to help. Plus a special callout to Fernando, our super shuttle driver!

Overall, we had an excellent vacation. We stayed in a ground level room for easy access to the pool which worked well and I would do again. The hallway did smell like mildew but in that level of humidity it’s expected. The room was very clean and maintained every day. Building 11 is better than 12 as people walk down the hall in building 12 to go to the nest and are quite loud. The FS pool was warm and clean. We spent equal time between the FS pool at the main pool. Butlers Adrian and Eduardo were attentive and kind. Our dinner reservations for the week were made promptly when we arrived. They set up a surprise for our daughter in the room one evening which we had not requested and it was very fun to come back to. I do think people should be able to reserve dinner for the first night in advance especially for those of us with allergies but communication prior to arrival was nonexistent unlike their sister properties. Even with our allergies, no one in our family got sick but we had two very close calls where we were told food was safe and right before eating it we were chased down and told to stop. Once was at a buffet and was was from an order. The food was above par for an all inclusive at the a-la-carts. The buffets were mediocre and always the same so redundant however we were never hungry. The attention paid to us at Portifino and the Indian restaurant was beyond expectation. The chefs, servers, food- literally everything. Especially at the Indian restaurant where the chef met with us and sent all the food he could make without dairy. It was Thanksgiving night and I wish I could remember his name but he was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend going to both of those restaurants.m. The nest was okay for breakfast, we did not have dinner there. Due to the two close calls with allergies, I would not recommend this resort with someone who has an anaphylactic response. I just get hives. No one in our party got sick in any way. We do brush our teeth with bottled water which makes a difference. People who did get sick all said they used tap water for brushing. The beds were incredibly comfortable and we slept very well. There were two annoyances. First, feces washed ashore on our last day. All along the coast and yes, it was human. I guess it’s not uncommon in Costa Mujeres for feces to wash ashore but where it comes from is controversial. Some say Isla Mujeres, some say cruise ships. I don’t know but it was disgusting and i haven’t seen that anywhere else in Mexico. There isn’t anything the resort can do about that except try to clean it. Made me not swim in the ocean again though. Second, I don’t know if staff gets bonuses for reviews if their names are mentioned or what, but I was asked for a review after every meal, service, etc. Asking upon checkout makes sense but it became very annoying and made me not want to review at all. And to the resort- don’t offer bonuses for reviews- just pay your staff well as they all deserve it. We live in and

One of the best places I have visited. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. Staff is courteous plenty of activities. Definitely coming back.

The hotel itself was lovely and clean. The nature was amazing. But lack of all day services such as ice cream bars and food stands. Food was average to awful, only real nice meal was the teppanyaki. No premium options available if you have a 17yr old unless family select where you surrounded by young children, sadly we was not made aware of this when we booked, it was sold as select! Service was mixed. Also staff don’t stop children from chasing the animals or trying to hit with sticks while parents laugh.

The hotel surpassed my expectations. We stayed at the family selection. We had our own butler who was very attentive and answered our questions immediately using g the what’s up app. She made all our restaurants and activities reservations and she would just send us the time of reservations. They offered free transportation within the hotel property . I would recommend this hotel.
