Fantastic rooms that feel really luxurious. The large freestanding bath is a great plus and it was silent and pitch black at night - great for a restful escape from the city.

Very nice place and great bar with log fire, so great during the winter evenings. The food only average with a small menu. Staff friendly and helpful during stay

I stayed in the shepherd hut with my dogs as a birthday treat to myself. It was so comfortable and luxurious - for me and my dogs! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were kind and friendly, and made my trip so very special. The hut had everything I needed - lovely bed, kettle, fridge, and complimentary drinks. The decor is gorgeous and the shower great. The hut is quiet and private, tucked away at the end of the garden under the trees. I woke each day to sweet birdsong. Even though it was very hot when I stayed, inside, the temperature was perfect. The food and drinks in the pub are also delicious, and the service excellent. Would recommend to everyone!

This is our third stay and every time it has been wonderful. The service, food and drinks are impeccable. We booked with the early bird saver but when we checked in, we had been upgraded too. We will definitely be back again in the new year.

We recently stayed in the potting shed with our three dogs and we loved everything about our stay. There is so much attention to detail, from the beautiful furnishings to the helpful and friendly staff. The food was amazing, the pub so unbelievably cosy, and the dogs were really welcomed. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this beautiful unpretentious hotel.
